As you saw, this being backstory (probably about 10 years before the current timeline), there were no spoilers- most reactors watch between seasons 1 and 2, and I even saw one watch it between episodes 16 and 17- which makes some sense, because there are exact parallels with Eren’s first mission, and Levi tells Eren a lot of the same things that we hear in his head here- about choosing whether to trust your own strength, or relying on your comrades- make the choice you’ll least regret- you never really know how things will turn out either way. They even had Isabel and Furlan pleading with Levi to trust them to go on the mission much the same way Levi’s squad/Petra pleaded with Eren not to transform while the female Titan was chasing them. And since you’re bad with remembering the faces, the guy that apprehended Levi and shoved his face in the mud was Miche- the guy that likes to sniff people, can somehow smell titans coming, and died brutally in the first episode of season 2- but he wasn’t featured very much, which is a shame given that before he died, he was said to be second only to Levi in strength/titan fighting capability.
