Maybe this is grasping at straws, but could Al have been thinking that line rather than saying it out loud? I can’t recall at the moment if we spend time hearing character’s thoughts or not in this show, and it would be hard to tell in Al’s case anyway- or maybe Sig wasn’t paying attention to what he said or the significance didn’t hit him in that moment lol
