I ruined this season for myself in the very first episode, while watching the cool opening of how the different mob families took over the city. The irish family name of "Milligan" immediately got me triggered to go: "Milligan?! Wait.. Like Mike Milligan from season 2". This combined with the tradition of trading your son to the other family for power, just put all the pieces together. Ofcourse Mike Milligan from season 2 would take the name of his protector as an alias. It makes sense. I love the Coen brothers movies, so what I love about the show is how true it is to the weird spirit in those movies. My favourite season is the first, because of the writing and a fantastic villain portrayed by Billy Bob Thornton. What really stood out for me in season 4, (and I don't remember it being so prevalent in the other seasons), was the weird dialog. Almost every conversation had an analogy speech, which ended up taking me out of the moment. The flow of the conversations didn't feel natural, so it just became too much. However, if they do make another season, I will be watching. A show like this just has a lot of potential for many weird characters and storylines - Just like the Coen movies.

That's a really good point about the dialogue. I hadn't put my finger on it but that was a problem
