Changelog

-Image and sound files are no longer compressed. While compression reduced the file size, the actual quality was reduced too much for my liking.

-You can no longer trick Jasmine into doubling her bet indefinitely when playing Blackjack.

-Added updated French translation by WhatTheBoom.

-Minor fixes.

In regards to the size of the game, you can reduce it without compression. I had a look at some of the wav files and some of them have outrageously excessive quality settings. I found one encoded at 96kHz, which is great for editing, but completely useless for just listening. Also that specific track doesn't seems to actually make use of the stereo channels. Reducing the sample rate to 41 kHz (encoding limit required for full human hearing range, anything above is wasted) and reducing it to Mono, I was able to convert a 4 MB file into a 1 MB file, and at this point it's still a wav file. Renpy supports the FLAC audio format, which is lossless. This turns the rain background sound from 127 MB to 32 MB without any loss of quality.

Thanks! This is definitely something I'll look into. BTW, what kind of tool(s) would you recommend me using to convert the audio files?

THANK YOU so much for reverting back to the previous images. It really is worth the overall game size. I'm sure it was a lot of work getting it to run with the compressed images and definitely worth trying. I hope I'm speaking for a lot of people saying thank you for reverting back.
