where do I even begin with this? I have loved billie since I first started checking out her music. seeing this documentary def opened my eyes up to so much more about her and the battles she faces in order to be who she is. This was extremely eye-opening and would be a perfect watch for someone who doesn't know much about her. I appreciate her even more after this!

What I enjoyed about this documentary was it felt truthful without being exploitative. It felt respectful of her as a teenager- it didn't hype up the relationship drama just sort of included it in the background to help explain her emotional narrative, I also like that they didn't make a focus of the tourettes just included it as a part of her life. I'm autistic and ngl seeing someone like Billie have a tic attack had a massive impact on me, because as much as you tell yourself it's fine to be who you are and let people see you when you look the most noticeably 'different' there is still this fear that if people see me act anyway but perfectly in control they will lose respect for me or patronise me- and seeing her have tics just- it was something I've not really seen before and let me see someone ND in this successful place. This was a really impressive documentary. It didn't romanticise her or mythologise her, it just tried to show her. And the Justin Bieber part made me so happy and I've not really ever been a fan of his, but it almost humanised him to me too. It was really good at reminding you how everyone doing these things are just normal people in the truest sense in an industry where we forget that and sometimes expect them to be more.
