I’m halfway through listening to this and you two really struck a chord talking about taking yourselves seriously. I feel like I’ve been stuck cradling the two halves of my life. I’m closing out my mid-20’s soon and I feel like I’ve already missed out on so much of what people have been able to do during the years that I’ve already passed. All I really want to do is try to experience as much as I can because I’m finally confident in myself to go out and do fun things like go out to bars but now I don’t have the friends to do it with. In the same vein, I should have to worry about having people to go do things with. I’m perfectly capable of doing things alone but it’s so strange to go someplace unfamiliar to you without someone to back you up if that makes sense. On the other half of my life is this whole new world I’m discovering for myself which is exploring new cities, taking a fun class, taking yourself out for lunch. Just spending time doing things that make you feel like you’re growing as your own person. Just doing things that gets your out of the house but you know you’re going to have a fun time doing it. I think I’m inching towards my Eat, Pray, Love moment 😂 (I should probably read that book)
