Happy Saturday, Patrons! How are we all hanging in? Blessed? Stressed? Hot messed? Whatever it may be, I hope you register that I think you're doing wonderfully! You're exactly where you're at and that's the only place *you* need to be. That doesn't make sense but it sounds like some Instagram self help bullshit. So that's fun! Don't mine me as I type this, still hungover, with muscles sore from doing an actual work out with Mamrie's trainer yesterday morning followed by getting drunk in the evening and thinking it was hilarious to play Linkin Park beat saber for hours. Needless to say, it I am not NUMB today. 

And with that, I will fully disclose that I watched this weeks episode a couple of hours ago, with my brain a bit compromised from the previous night's poisons. So forgive me if this post happens to make more sense than the the others. 🙃 I'm actually going to keep it kind of brief because I don't know that there was much more to discover this episode? Having heard so many of your wonderful thoughts/insights throughout the seasons (I'M LOOKING AT YOU BEN TALKS, TED TALKS, ED TALKS, SHED TALKS) lol it was assumed that this top 4 was going to stay a top 4 so this episode was purely for entertainment purposes. 

I don't know how y'all feel about it but I think 1. that's lovely for us, and 2. a bummer that the queens had to put so much effort into something that didn't move any of them further along in the competition? I dunno, I think it's lovely that we get to watch more of their artistry ... but like, this season of Drag Race has fully lived up to it's name....it has draaaaaaaagged. And I feel like I already know the (Jaida) essence (Hall) of these gorgeous creatures. 

That said I'll give you the highlights for me this episode! 

-Kandy possibly saying to Rose that “Your handwriting is like the Decoration of Independence”...I don't know for certain that's what she said but I will forever believe it

-GottMik TOOK MY GROSS RAG OF A HEART AND RUNG OUT ALL THE FILTH  ... her ability to fully enjoy herself and be present in the moment is a true gift ... I'm just intoxicated by her/him self 

-Symone in her talking head saying “I love me and I can say that... I can say that now." I AM STILL CRYING (but it might also be hangover sweats)

-Rosé's little brother's message to her on Untucked was SO LOVELY and makes so much Scottish sense

Okay, I know that was so scattered but those were some stand out thoughts. Otherwise, I thought the music video was fun...it was heavily edited so obviously everyone came out looking great. I thought Mik and Symone looked the best on the runway and in the music video but Rose had a great singing/rapping performance. I thought Kandy held her own and was so unapologetically herself in the Ru/Michelle interview. 

Then they made them all lip sync individually and ... I dunno... that's where this episode lost me. It was like we all already knew they were moving on and so they were just filling time and honestly I feel bad for the awkwardness of these queens having to watch each other perform to the same song over and over? Something about it was off to me...but again maybe that's my hangover or MAYBE IT'S THIS STRANGE DRAWN OUT COVID SEASON OF DRAG RACE?! Who's to know!? 

I did see someone on twitter remark on Symone's Whitney Houston handkerchief during her Whitney Houston lip sync and it makes me love her commitment to beautiful details! Regardless! They all were gorgeous and incredible and we are exactly where we started before this episode. I could say so much more but I want to hear what y'all think! My guess is it's between Mik and Symone ... I love Rose and think she's an incredible professional, but perhaps she's too professional?? Is that nuts? Kandy is amusing (clunky pun) but she's there for personality and entertainment. What do you guys think?!? We have our catch up with the queens next week and then the finale is in two weeks so PLENTY OF TIME FOR MORE LINKIN PARK BEAT SABER. Have good weekends, y'all! Sorry if this post is a bit of a mess!
