Some Monday Mom Energy! (Patreon)

Yes, that is a picture of my mom paying homage to RBG on her way to lap lane swimming. She texted this to me and my brother this morning. And before you ask...yes, she's already been medically diagnosed as ADORABLE. Ugh, what a treasure. I thought we might all be able to use a little Monday mom energy. I also rewatched the RBG documentary over the weekend and got my heart all melted and my soul all fired up on account of how beautiful her relationship with her husband was and how truly incredible her self was.
That said, happy (late) Monday, y'all! How were your weekends?? Mine has been pretty tame. Elliott and I did get a little high and watched LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring and WOW. What a film. Have you seen this thing? Of course you have. But, I mean, have you really seen this thing? NUTS. I've seen all of the films years ago but I hardly remembered them and they're excellent and hilarious to rewatch now. Gandolf runs like he's got a tampon falling out the whole time. I laughed, I cried, it was great. We're gonna try to watch the second one tonight, but I gotta tell you, I dunno about these hobbits being the right lil guys to get that ring where it needs to go. Also, who knew so many men got all hot and bothered about accessories??
Speaking of completing a goal, let's talk goals! How'd we do???
Here's where I'm at with mine:
1. Paint the front door: Definitely did not do this. Didn't even touch it. Didn't even make an attempt to look in it's general direction. And that's okay! We'll work on the growth of our balls in the upcoming days and assess our courage in the endeavor. If those homely, emotional fraggles can get a little gold Sonic ring into that giant fire pit I can potentially throw some paint on my entrance rectangle.
2. Write my paper: This, I did! I most of the day working on my homework and I got it done! Does it make sense? That's TBD. But it's submitted. And that k-e-w-l.
3. Exercise: Did this too! Did a basic bitch walk on the treadmill while watching some 90 Day Fiance which, turns out, is like creating a hilarious feedback loop of anxiety. The endorphins push out the body stress while the reality programming creates new brain stress to replace it. Cute!
Okay, that's my update! How'd you do? And if you didn't set your sights on any specific shit you wanted to get done, what'd you end up getting into this weekend anyway?? Let's hear it! I'm gonna go attempt to start the next LOTR (aka part 2 of "A Gaggle of Hairstyles Go for a Hike") so I'll make sure to look at and comment on your posts in the morning! Hope you're all doing as best you can! ❤️G
