Ah thats a bummer. At the very least you still got something salvageable in the visual and some of us would happily just watch that and try and get the general gist of your intitial reaction (maybe with some added dubbing). But like you said you might after a bit of breather (dont beat yourself up too much) do it like a revisit/review (or maybe slice in some facial reactions from the original in it too) and tell us what you thought at which point that could be good as well. It's a little bit like the annoyance (sometimes at yourself) when accidentally coming across a spoiler, sometimes there can still be unspoiled potential value found in watching to find out how that happens/we get to that point in other aspects. ;)
