I’ve been strategizing for 2022, thinking about the best course of action to take. With everything that’s happened lately, and the fact that I will have to move out in the next few months… I can’t afford a place to live (not for very long, anyway). So, I need to create a plan.

It’s important that my plan is sustainable for the long-term because I will otherwise stumble and fail.

Plans before 2021 Ends:

  • Dragon Breast Comic (October)
  • Prepare 2022 Beaumont Comic
  • Update Patreon Presentation

Plans for 2022:

Assuming my Patreon income does not change, I can take 2 commissions every week to reach a monthly goal of $2000, which might be okay for a bit. Additionally, each month needs a primary goal; a project to work towards every week.

I believe the best strategy is to cycle between projects on a month-to-month basis. For example:

This allows me to concentrate on a single project at a time and still have natural break periods, which is good for consistency. Now, assuming I produce 2-3 pages every week, that means:

  • 8-10 images per month (enough for an image set)
  • 3-4 image sets during the year
  • 48 comic pages by October

Prospective Projects:

I have a few ideas that can be used for image sets, but I only need one right now. The upcoming 2022 comic needs to be scripted & sketched. I have 3 months to plan it all out.

Assuming that I’ll move out in January, I must prepare for any time that will be lost during the moving process. Ideally, I will have the first projects prepared and ready to go by the end of 2021.

Don’t forget to eat & sleep.

Looks like a solid plan, and two commissions a week sounds like they won't drain you too bad. And remember that you have the forms for people who are offline when you stream, too!

I truly hope this plan works out.
