I’ve been exercising with Ring Fit Adventure & Fitness Boxing 2 every morning as of late. I don’t think I’ve lost much weight, but I must be healthier than before; I don’t struggle with it as much as I did on Day 1, and it’s probably helping me sleep better.

This month had some rendered illustrations, so I think it’s okay if there haven’t been as many pieces as usual. That said, I don’t know if these pieces are so good that they actually bring more value to your life. I hope my performance so far has been satisfactory. 

Feeling Creative

I feel like having fun & creating what I want lately.

We should probably start some projects soon; content that can provide sustained value over time. It might be easier than re-inventing the metaphorical wheel for each consecutive illustration too.

Female Link Comic

I’ve talked about wanting to do this for years, so I should stop beating around the bush.

There’s always risk in creating derivative works, and I want to work on something I could actually see myself completing. So rather than treating this concept as a series of separate adventures (like before), I will instead focus on telling a single story with a specific narrative arc & emotional experience.

I’ve almost finished outlining the entire story (not scripting), so that I can pretty much jump in and script as I go along; provided I know everything I want to do ahead of time. This might be something I work on over time, like a back-burner project that I revisit every so often, a page here and there. I expect it will be patron exclusive until done (or nearly done).

Beaumont Short Stories

I’ve been thinking about making short comics set in the Beaumontverse (we need a better name).

By exploring this setting and its characters through short stories, I can generate further interest without committing to an entire novel. I have a few rough ideas that could make for interesting short stories, but they need a bit more work. That said, we can also explore ideas you’re curious about too.

This format is rather low stakes, so I can just post them on Twitter.

Game Maker Studio 2

Some of my recent free time has gone to learning GML (GameMaker Language) so I can make games. I don’t know if this is going to interest a lot of you, and I doubt I can afford to spend a lot of time on this when most of you are probably here for drawn art… But I still think it’s worth mentioning.

I thought it might be cool to recreate the Castlevania engine, but then create new sprites for, like... an Elayne Boobmont. Though I have no skills in sprites or music, whoops…

NOTE: This is a quick mock-up, not something that is actively being worked on. I’m still just learning.

Anycow, that’s pretty much it. I just wanted to drop by to let you know what’s goin’ on. Still gonna take it easy and think about what to do next.
