Elayne & Amaranth Experiments (Patreon)

I began these images with light experimentation in mind, although I feel as though I fell back into a more typical approach with the Amaranth piece (though there's still enough deviation from my standard approach in other ways). It's subtle though, so perhaps it's no big deal.

Starting with Elayne, I tried for a very low-contrast, light & airy look. But Amaranth ended up being much more vibrant. Interestingly, I didn't use my typical "glow effect" in these pieces, except for the light in the eyes. That said, there's still a bit of hue variation with little bits of red & blue, as if they're gently bleeding into the paint.
