Last week didn’t have a lot of exciting moments, but the Sexy Sleepover illustration was noteworthy.

Technically speaking, the quality of this illustration isn’t much better than my work usually is. But it feels much more dynamic by virtue of having multiple figures in the same space and an implied narrative. It is not a simple drawing of a character standing; it’s a scene with characters interacting, even if only superficially. There’s just more value in this single piece than usual, despite it being technically rushed.

It’s a cool piece, and I’d like to create more art with multiple figures, interaction, and deeper concepts. I feel like there just isn’t a lot to actively love about my work, so maybe that would help my art improve. It does take longer to make art like it though, especially at the concept stage. I’m not very creative!

What’s Next?

Ideally, I’d be taking it easy for the rest of the week… But I do have a bit more work to do. We have one more Dungeon Master artwork, and I’d like to make time for concept art and some of your suggestions. Guess we’ll have to see what happens. The commissions took more out of me than expected, so I should try to be mindful of my energy.

I thought it might be cool to spend December doing daily gift art for other artists, but it might interrupt our usual routine here on Patreon, so that probably won’t happen...
