Been a while since our last feed post. I'm tired. Again. Not too much to say.

On my third draft for the next upcoming Beaumont comic (might jump onto the 4th one soon), but I might also just release an occasional shorter story until then (since it is taking so long). Who knows? I still got Dragon Breast to start working on soon too, as well as any other smaller, sexy comics we might work on.

Tired

There is great difficulty in finding the balance between self-care and work. People say "don't worry, get some rest" but just as many people would stop supporting me because I'm neglecting my responsibilities (and reasonably so). So how do we determine how long a break is allowed to be? How much is the output allowed to suffer before it's too much? It's a pretty tough thing to work around.

I'm finding myself tired of drawing. Well… maybe I'm not tired of DRAWING, but I am tired of working (which is inseparable from drawing now). Since my grandfather's death (February), I've only gained $200 - $300 more via Patreon, and that's honestly not enough for about 8 months worth of progress.

So I think I'm probably going to have to start taking commissions again. But I'm really tired…

Organge Juice

I've been sharing a bit more art with All Patrons as of late, and it's cool to have an experience like that where it's more organic and fun for everyone instead of gating content through strict rules. Would be nice to make the experience overwhelmingly more fun for everyone, regardless of your membership level.

Perhaps it's not too big a deal… I only share an occasional artwork, and that piece often makes it onto Twitter that same day. But since I don't actually promise $1 patrons any art, it stands out, to me, when I do give them art.

Anyway, we should get back to work soon.

Don't forget to eat & sleep.

I wish I could just give you the perfect answer for how long a break you can take without upsetting some supporters. I'm not gonna drop my pledge regardless of a hiatus, but I know that not everyone would feel the same. I really do hope you find a balance that lets you get the rest you deserve.
