[Concept Mini] Detroit: Become Brells (Patreon)

Our recent venture into Fall Brells has shown that parodying video games by injecting a brellomascot into them works, and having recently seen a screenshot of Detroit: Become Human – a game in which androids are subjugated by society to be of service… Well, you can imagine what we’d do with that.

The Concept

This is a very simple, straightforward idea, so there’s not a lot of complex design decisions.

One thing I wanted to do was use a much thinner body type than we’re used to here. I feel like a supple body suits the idea of a general assistant or caretaker in your home, and also serves to make them feel like an average person instead of something designed to be a sexbot (not to say that it isn’t, haha).

The clean, classy uniform works well, and the way the colours split at the chest means we could remove everything else while keeping identifying features from the outfit. Because the character is an android designed for service, however, we could easily adjust the outfit (and even the body) from time to time.

We’ve played with the concept of dolls before, so it doesn’t have to be derivative. But the game’s flavor is pretty interesting and is what inspired the idea of using votes for simple, sexy decisions.

Voting Gauntlet

We’ve used the Voting Gauntlet as a way of offering extra value to $10 Patrons before, and I’d still like to. It gives you something else to look forward to besides the chance of your ideas getting drawn.

Concepts that we can revisit every few weeks could provide us with a lot of future voting poll content. This specific idea is great because it’s simple, sexy fun; it’s easy to understand and doesn’t take a lot of buildup to reach the sexy. Other concepts could also benefit from this model, like the Bodyslide Girl.

The in-game interface is built around a selection of simple choices that could make for an interesting Patreon experience. Choices can be easily mapped to a voting poll, and by using pre-defined options instead of suggestions, we can cut 2-3 weeks of waiting for a much quicker turnaround. We might be able to even string a few scenes together doing this too.

This isn’t to say we can’t have longer Voting Gauntlets, but this would be easier to fit into the month. Anyway, just an idea.
