Just a quick sketch I did while delaying sleep. I'm trying to go for a rough manga style. I do not excel in black & white, but as time goes on, the more I think Beaumont should be done in an expressive, graphic inked type of look. The type of setting is more dark than not, and with it being clearly inspired by old Universal monster movies & German Expressionism, it seems a natural fit for such an aesthetic.

The rough line work used in the character is satisfying enough (I've used this in that last horse artwork too), but I'm not entirely convinced with the background. I have to find a way of doing abstract backgrounds in a way that works well with the character.
