Sales Tax Information

Patreon has given us the tools to adjust what portion of your pledge should be taxed.

Given that our Patreon primarily runs on Donations & General Support benefits (which are exempt from sales tax in the majority of states currently), you should theoretically see no change in what you're paying for my Patreon.

My Patreon is more about giving you access to a private community, a bit like I'm letting you walk around my private studio. So I'm going to try telling Patreon that I'm "giving away" any rewards that remotely resemble goods & services. Like the Dropbox Archive.

The taxes don't go into effect until July 1st, so we'll have to wait to see how it goes.

Your Feedback

According to the results of some recent polls... [1] [2] [3].

A lot of you would like to see more Comics & Stories, Pornographic Content, and most of you are pledged simply to support me (rather than pledging specifically for rewards).

These results aren't going to be determining anything outright, but they do give me an idea of what a lot of you are feeling. I'm looking at more than just the top-voted options; I make it a point to look at the results so I can see what each one of you wanted, individually, too.

Moving Forward

I need to branch out and do new things if I'm to see any substantial growth moving forward. The secret to productivity is not doing more; it's doing less. I need to prioritize critical work and make time for other kinds of projects, which means cutting back on less critical work. I don't want you to feel as though you're being deprived of value, however, so I'll work hard to ensure that doesn't happen.

I often struggle to justify that because I don't want to disappoint you, and it's a really risky time to try with everything going on right now. But I think I'll crash & burn otherwise.

We're operating in a closed environment, so I need to create with the intentions of growth & emotional satisfaction. I'm planning to try experimenting with my schedule in June so that I can create a better experience with my art. I expect to try some new things too.

Thank you for your support.

Don't forget to eat & sleep.

I am genuinely excited to see where you take things. You've mentioned that these last couple of months have been harder on you, so to hear that you're going to try and make things easier on yourself is a weight off my mind. I'm sure we'd all agree that a happy Brell is what we all want. :3
