EDIT: The month is almost over, don't forget to check the Dropbox Archive if you have not.

This is probably good enough for the end of the month.

I did one more NSFW Suggestion, but since there was only one, I added it to the Monthly Dropbox Archive for everyone to see before the month is over. Make sure to check that out if you have access to it, because there are new things here, and it's up to date.

See that [HERE].

Overview

January went well enough considering that we lost an entire week because of chest pain (which I am no longer feeling). I think the Concept Art post was a tiny bit boring though. I usually try to be super entertaining during those posts, so you don't have to really deal with how boring some of the design process can be, but that post was much less embellished.

This month saw some cool illustrations. Although they weren't passion projects, as I would like them to be, they were still fun to produce. The poses are still somewhat static, but there's still some neat energy in the rendering.

They're a bit rougher than the last few illustrations from 2019, which were much more clinical. These works still take longer to make, so I hope the wait for them is worthwhile, and I hope to make even better works from this. There are little pockets where the rendering gets super playful, and I've really enjoy that a lot.

I really enjoyed the first illustration of the year too, since it revisits a style that I used to work with in early 2018. Though the chunky linework is a new addition to it -- it's the rendering that's important here. There's this cool compound texture that really feels like actual paper with dots in it. I should consider trying to modernize these tools and style, since it is a bit outdated. The texture I created in 2018 has been resized so many times, so now the base of it is incredibly blurry.

Other Stuff

I've been enjoying video games lately. I played through the entirety of Nier: Automata and I'm spending a lot of time on Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Perhaps a bit too much, haha. Still, it's good to slow down and relax. I've been taking a few minutes here and there to brush up on my skills with GameMaker Language too. But there's nothing to really report on with that last thing -- just informing you that it is a skill I am learning right now.

Anyway, good month. That said, I did find this month to be a little lacking in ambition, so I'll try to change that for the following months. This is a transitional period, so I guess you can't expect perfection right off the bat. Thank you for your support!
