I find this all very interesting. As a kid I was taught that the show was "evil" because it was about environmentalism and global warming, which, in my father's words, "...is a lie perpetrated by scientists who are paid by liberals in order to force unnecessary regulations on industry." Turns out that's not the show's problem at all.
