How To Make A Live Action Remake (Patreon)

For my next Eddache video I wanted to tackle the subject of Animated Movie to Live Action remakes, particularly with Disney (especially apt with Lion King coming out this month).
For a while I struggled what to make the video about. I was originally going to watch every single remake and pick out the best ones but that didn't feel right, as it felt too judgemental. I'm always cautious to make my videos feel positive and encouraging. And while I might make the odd video here or there, I wanted to find some lessons when it comes to script writing.
So ultimately I've landed on the more positive sounded How To Make A Live Action Remake. A lesson in adaptations in general but viewing them with the Disney remakes and picking some of the positive things with them. That felt a lot better.
I've attached the script I've written for this video. It's difficult to talk about the recent run of remakes without sounding cynical, as I generally haven't found them enjoyable, so I hope I found an ok balance. If you have any feedback, I'd love to hear it!
Another question this opens up is what movie would I make a live action remake of? I had planned to incorporate an answer into this video but felt that would extend it to be way too long and cut it. I'm now considering leaving it on a little cliffhanger to be answered in a follow up video but haven't fully decided on this approach yet or not. But if I had to give an answer right now then I'd probably say The Rescuers. I bought the Blu-Ray so I could rewatch it but its fascinating to me that it's the first Disney animated movie to ever get a sequel, but as a franchise it's laid totally dormant ever since. Perhaps Bernard and Miss Bianca deserve a comeback!
