Hey Patreon-Pals, old and new! The Roger Rabbit video seemed to go down very well! Apparantly Reddit insta-deletes it from being posted there as the word "Donald" is too political, which is really funny!

So what's next on the slate? Well, I don't think I will be getting an Eddache video essay out in December. The planned major release this month is Shark Movies 2018! My annual round up of the major movies of the year retold with sharks! The planned release is December 30th. My method with Shark Movies is to plan and film at the same time, allowing for improv and such, so there isn't any scripting or pre-production stuff to show off but I'm open to suggestions for films to include!

I also have an edition of Screen Flickers which was filmed in February to be edited. For those who don't know, Screen Flickers is where myself and my pal Joel watch and review movies that are video game adaptations to see if they are actually that bad! In the past they've been an audio podcast but this time we filmed it against a green screen to make it more fun to watch. I'm not 100% certain if I want to release this now but I'm going to do a pass with the edit and see how I feel about it anyway. If I do decide to release this, it'll be out before Xmas.

As for the next Eddache video essay, one idea I know I want to do is one based on Groundhog Day (1993) to release on February 2nd (the actual groundhog day!). The premise of this is how Groundhog Day purposely does not explain how or why the situation is happening and I'll explore other films/shows that either over-explain, don't explain enough or leave elements wide open for the audience to decide.

My concern however is that after doing videos based on Who Shot Mr Burns (1995) and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), people are going to think I only talk about "old" tv shows and movies! So I'd want to hit a modern show for variety. I just finished watching the Netflix reboot of She-Ra and loved it so much I want to talk about it, so perhaps something to do with that and its approach to character designs.

But I don't want my videos to be exclusively video essays about media, as I'd love to research and present videos on a mix of topics that I find interesting. And not just video essays either! My approach to these Eddache videos has been to blend video essay with animated storytime so it has more personality and isn't just a lecture. So I want to make videos that are way more animated storytime, perhaps something like how I met my wife or the day of my son's birth or something like that?

So that's basically some the immediate future plans!

Maybe you could make a video explaining who Cartman's real father is? Could be a very funny/entertaining video! (Also who doesn't love SouthPark?)

I do have a South Park themed idea but not really a kind one! I liked the show a lot but found myself pushed away by some of the sentiments they were pushing.
