Megumin WIP 001 (Patreon)

Megumin is the next character! Sorry to all the Yoko fans, but I am pretty confident she will appear in the finals again. I previously mentioned in a comment that I would favor a character that I know if it came down to a tie, but I had a change of heart. Konosuba is the anime that I haven't watched before, and I've always wanted to create a "witch-like" character. Megumi is 15 years old in the anime, so due to Patreon policies I will age her up by 3 years. I don't want those cops knocking on my door...

So far as you can see in the image I've got her face mostly done and I want to capture more of the anime look than my previous projects. At the same time I don't want to create those flat features with the painted eyes on them. I want to actually sculpt those features in and it is surprisingly challenging because a lot of times giant anime eyes don't follow skull structure exactly. If you can imagine anime eyeballs inside the skull, both eyeballs would be rubbing against each other down the middle.

General proportions are blocked out and next thing to do is block out her costume to see if it works out. Then move onto finding the right pose.
