Samus Aran WIP 007 (Patreon)

Hey all, another update on my progress and thoughts. The majority of the comments in the previous post mentioned the green pose so I chose that one, I actually liked that one the most myself. First thing I started on was the naked body first by correcting the anatomy and making sure the silhouette is readable in all angles. Armor pieces were added once the body pose was done, but the proportions and silhouette did not look as good as the T-Pose version.  I ended up changing many things like extending her limb size. Samus stands taller with longer legs and longer arms on the armored version. In a way it was almost like sculpting two characters at once. The naked body version was much easier because it's organic and is easy to stretch and squish while still be convincing. On the other hand the armored version made the pose appear very stiff and silhouette clunky. There's a lot more to do, and I will see if I can push the gesture and flow of the pose further. The armor design needs to be pushed further and refined next as well. I may forgo the zero suit and do something with armor removal on the alternative version instead, I'll experiment.
