I’m glad I’m watching the anime, because I just realized I missed something multiple times reading the novels. Cid talked about this in the previous arc while for gold in the snow with Delta. “A recording is a weapon that can destroy the world, and Santa a demon in red”. Aizawa cooked once again!

Rose is too cute and too thiccc to go through all of this trauma. I just wanna give her a hug. At the very least she got a daddy that truly loved her. Sometimes that may be all a little girl needs. Comfort in the fact her daddy loved her and wanted to protect her. A super contrast from the mother who would be willing to kill her husband and be fine killing her own daughter off for some younger dick.

It is hilarious to think that any and all background music from the Rose walking down the church alter to Mordred kill Perv and summoning the black rose and ending at the split moment before Shadow cuts the demon arm off and reveals himself, is Cid just playing his heart out on the pipe organ!

Love Cid playing the church pipe organ Like a Boss! It makes such a great literal metaphor of how he is playing the strings of everyone behind the scenes.

Lee looking like a Roman emperor! I see you! xD The whole, "things that matter and things that don't" is legit Cid's life philosophy. I think it's pretty interesting myself. Probably means he's more of a sociopath than a psychopath since he willingly let go of things that normally would have mattered, like attachments. It looked like even he felt bad for Rose after she passed out and he apologized to her. It shows that those small bits of humanity are still there in him, like when he was angry at Sherry's dad (and gave the same speech about his philosophy incidentally). That moment with Sherry's dad and this moment where Rose saw the truth were "static" for him, something that he actually ended up caring about. Even though he intended to detach.

Was surprised it was actually a demon, really thought it would be some kind of weather spell or something like that. So which will be actual fight Mordred or this random archfiend demon. Cid just rolling along and everything just fits to how he wants.
