Content

I make sure to include all widely viewed reaction content in our schedule with minimal hesitation, and we even leave room for about 2+ movies a month. Some people assume that if we didn't have Kdramas, we'd have more space for animes or 20-minute shows, but that's not the case. Actually, I already have unreleased anime reactions ready to go. Personally, I believe our lineup offers a significant variety, and there's no need to rush through animes.

At times, we do feel fatigue from certain anime series, and switching to a drama provides a refreshing break before we return to anime. We've also dedicated more recording time to Kdramas. So, it's crucial to clarify that without Kdramas, we'd either record a different live-action show or conclude our recording session for the day. It doesn't necessarily mean more anime content, as we already cover all the anime that matches our preferences and receives sufficient support from the community, making the recording and editing process worthwhile.

We currently record 27+ hours a week, and personally, watching 27 hours of PURELY anime isn't something I can do enthusiastically. If you recall, we gradually increased our recording hours as we began covering live-action content as well. I'd like to add that I think Magi the anime is exceptional, but the first 10 episodes were challenging to watch without breaks. Many anime series follow a similar pattern as they build up in the initial episodes. On the other hand, shows like Apothecary Diaries grab your attention right from the first episode.

Why don't I release everything at once? Well, I always like to be prepared for emergencies that might prevent recording, such as vacations or dry anime seasons where the new releases aren't great. This way, we can pivot towards some classic content

If I removed 5 kdramas from the slot, it would go to western live actions or we'd go home or something lol.

Yo I feel ya. I've been Anime fatigued for a decade now. I used to watch like 10-15 Anime every quarter. That's at least 40 shows a year from 2004 to 2012. Add J-Dramas from 2005 till 2013 when they were at their peak with great acting talents and like 4-7 US shows every weekday from 2008 till 2016, I rarely saw the sun. Now I'm very picky about what Anime to watch.

I don't watch K dramas myself but you guys put in more work than any other reactor I've ever seen and have such a great selection of anime so I'm always happy with how you have done things. And you guys actually cover smaller anime that don't usually get covered and I really appreciate it. So keep up the good work, I'm very content myself 🤜💥🤛

Personally, I like the current system. There's plenty of variety between anime, kdrama, and live action. The only thing I would ask for is maybe a dedicated retro anime slot. Like how y'all are watching magi now. Sorry if there is an older anime slot already but it's how I personally find new reactors to watch rather than latest new anime that comes out.

I don't think you should just watch anime. I do rarely get annoyed if you watch some trash MCU or DC stuff that comes out opposed to reacting to a certain anime that might be cool for you to see that is coming out for the season but that doesn't really bother me even at that point cause I want the quality reactions and if you don't decide to do an anime at that point in time hopefully we get it later down the line. Normally you hit most anime I would like you to watch. Sometimes one may go down the hole and get pushed back a lot but I still enjoy that you pick and choose what the community wants and cover most of the anime or you do eventually go back. Also I don't want it to seem like I am genuinely upset when I talk about doing a MCU or DC show over doing another anime I just don't like anything and despise everything that the West generally puts out into entertainment these days, especially the MCU or DC (because I really loved all the stuff that put out during my childhood with the old time cartoons or some of the movies that were genuinely amazing like the 2000s spiderman movies with toby). Just spouting the same stuff at this point but I really don't care as long as you have majority of the anime being covered for that season that I want you to see and that almost always happens besides one or two that get held back every so often.

It’s nice to have variety and I even end up finding a show I wouldn’t get on my recommended, that I can also watch with my family when given time.

I remember hearing you say some months ago in an intro that you enjoyed Kdrama because you enjoyed everything you watched till now while most anime you watched were "MID" which seemed to be genuine feelings lol and it's on that part that i wish you changed a bit : i do feel that most anime you're choosing to watch are truly not the greatest to say the least. I also remember you saying multiple times that your prefered types to watch are war-psychological-thriller-story driven anime and yet you react to none of them (still waiting for S1 Psycho-pass for exemple, it's actually a good anime; hell even Aldnoah Zero is better than most of the shows you're choosing to cover). I think you reacted to pretty much zero seinen anime (meant to target an older audience). A pretty good recent exemple would be Frieren, which you actually seem to really enjoy and it does feel to be way more on the seinen's side of things.
