I originally wasn’t going to post because I felt subconscious.


My approach was recording my process of just re-watching my favorite scenes and just remembering things.


This as the series to rewatch weekly because I don’t have the time to do that with everything but I consider eminence a passion project video.


Didn’t really catch much that I didn’t catch on the first watch on episode two so I felt reluctant to share

I really like this type of video for Eminence in Shadow. The second season is moving at a really fast pace so there are a lot of things happening in each scene. Eminence in Shadow is, for me, one of the funniest anime I've ever watched, and that's only possible because the story makes sense and is incredible. Cid is what makes this incredible story chaos, but chaos that still makes sense.

My mans goes and stops the "awakening" then has the balls to say "The hour of awakening is near" with a straight face right after. And that's why I absolutely love Cid, he is stupidly overpowered but he has no clue what is happening around him, just makes shit up and hopes it lands, truly PEAK!

Oh yeah, btw, Clair was already healed, I thought you were gonna take a look at the 2nd half of S01E02 , when she gets kidnaped, count Olba tells her "I heard you showed signs of possession and that your brother healed you" which she straight up denounces saying that Cid is hopelessly weak and could never do anything worthy of notice. In the gacha game Master of Garden we got more info, where a bit after saving Alpha and Beta, Claire started having coughing fits whenever trying to use her magic, which Cid noticed and characterized as "Magic imbalance" in her body caused by possession. She collapses during their training and of course Cid thinks to himself "Maybe I can use her as a test subject while I heal her to tackle the early stages of possession". After teaching her the art of after workout stretches (cause it wasn't know in the world and he needs the excuse to touch her) he searched her body for the source of the possession noting that it's much easier to fix when they're not blobs of rotting flesh. He found it and he cured her, but since Claire doesn't know that, she's convinced she will turn into that blob of rotting flesh. Besides Shadow Garden and the late Jack Nelson (the baldy from the sanctuary) the fact that shadow garden is comprised of ex possession victims is unknown, the world still see "The possession" aka "Demon possession" as an incurable disease that brings ruin to everyone around them, which was indoctrinated to the people by the church so they could more easily donate their family members to the church as test subjects. Hope that helps out, cause I don't think it will be covered in the anime ever and it's not really a spoiler at this point.

Okay, I was wrong, it got covered in the anime, I apologize :( but I saw on Discord that you read it in the manga as well, and it's still not really a spoiler but I find it funny that if you just waited one more day for Episode 3 you would have answers to all your questions :D
