2023-10-07 07:33:18 NGL, if I was a magician, I would have joined Mogamett, even though I don't agree with 100% of his beliefs. Considering how literally everywhere else in the world they've got slavery, pirates, corrupt politicians, natural disasters, wars, literal giant monsters I feel like even if you are part of the 5th level you are still safer there than literally almost anywhere else in the world. The way their government is set up is pretty great too because dumb people never get to be part of the higher positions because they're all scholars, they don't have monarchy either so there's really no nepotism. Bribes don't work because theyre are more interested in research and knowledge than power and wealth.

If you are a person with any type of useful skill and is willing to work, even if you aren't a magician you still get to enjoy a relatively peaceful and comfortable life. If you are dumb and no skills, joining the military is the best choice because not only do you really not have do anything much, aside from standing guard maybe (as magicians pretty much take care of anything too dangerous or labor intensive) but you also get to be 3rd level citizen.
