one of the reasons that subtitles can make it hard to understand subtext is given in the situation where parents are being interrogated. Mom slipped up and said what could they want with Baek Hee Song whereas dad referred to him as his son. The detective noted the difference. It was weird mom didn't refer to Heesong as her son, but rather said his full name. Seemed sus.

Yeah, sometimes a show can be good and it just doesn’t give you much to react to. There is a lot to work with here, especially because everything is out in the open by episode 5. Makes you wonder how it can go on and what more they will reveal.

I do like viki for there subs as they explain some things. We might not understand. Iv watch this show both on Netflix and Viki and for me Viki is better. But I know others will like Netflix style as well

that part 100% I usually watch my kdramas on viki or on billibilli TV cause they're not localized and they have more direct translations and they're not censored or watered down

Netflix is also frustrating cause they have english cc and English subs and people can get them mixed up. I know a lot of people who watch English cc and don't realize that's not actually translating the language but captioning the dubs which are largely innacurate.
