im one of those that was kinda put off by Rudy's earliest attitudes. but i think he definitely grown up through his experiences and came a long way from how he used to be. I started buying the light novel to read into the lore more cuz theres so much information that i doubt the anime included it all.

Man, it might be recency bias but this show is easily in my top 3 of isekai and top 5 of anime for sure. What I like about the show is obviously the fantasy aspect but also the fact that we saw Rudy grow up from being a baby/child to teen (adult in this world) and based on the time progression we will see Rudy in his adult life. Most (or a lot) anime/isekai are about highschool boys/girls and are stuck in a certain time frame and before I watched Mushoku Tensei I wished there was a show like this where would see the MC in multiple points in their life (also a reason I liked the show Vikings). So we will see a lot or maybe even the whole of Rudy's life and experiences and with that come different kind of events that would not be possible or as immersive if the show would only take place when Rudy was 15 for example. The same reason I get hyped/excited for time skips in shows as well. I can't wait for the second cour but sadly I've been spoiled about a couple things by random youtube videos thumbnails and titles but nonetheless I'm excited for season 2 part 2. Anyway great reaction and review of the show Lee/Adorkable/Dnasty. You guys are the only people where I watch the whole reaction/review if it's longer than 30-40 min. Reasons for that are the fact that you are doing group reactions and the meta seems to be just that in the case of youtube. You also are entertaining and have good banter and 3 people is just the right amount of people without getting too distracting for the viewer and you yourself (my view/opinion ofc). Adorkable is nice to have on shows for the different perspective and to set you guys straight at times lol. And another reason is that other youtubers split their content in parts, so a reaction and a review part where the review part is usually on youtube. It's a simple thing to click on 2 videos but the fact you have the actual episode in your video and it's unedited (for the most part) makes it a great experience as a viewer since I click 1 video/link and I don't have to worry about syncing my own copy as well (I have legal streaming services for anyone wondering lol). I usually don't post or make comments but I felt like I had to on this show and to give you some feedback Lee. Sad that people give reactors spoilers/hints/overexplain because to me blind reactions are the most fun and sometimes anime will change things from the source material (like if something is unexplained they will give a flashback when it is relevant). Keep doing you Lee :) Edit: Oh I also liked your extra review videos of Mushoku on Youtube lol, great to see someone passionate.

This season was way more pleasant than I expected, I was scared something wild was gonna happen the whole time, TYBW and a few other shows got me having trust issues.

ngl i hate this adaptation. The new director for this season is a junior because the veteran director last season left. Remember that ghislaine fight against kidnappers? That scene was straight up fire. Remember the fight between Rudeus and badigadi? That shi was mid af. last season also nailed a lot of scenes from the novel. This season, its not bad but its mid. Im not hating on the junior director tho, i just wish the original director didnt leave and this junior director worked on smaller titles to practice on

This part didn't have action, but only in the early episodes and they were ok. But they didn't need to have Ghislaine impact as the opponents weren't some master swordman showing their skills. I am very certain next part will bring the action back to the story as noway it will be this happy go lucky, maybe even finally we will get Rudy saving his mom.

Tsundere is your thing then, I am not for that. I don't dislike Eris, but when I can have 2 other choices like Sylphy & Roxy. Roxy will be my favorite as I can already tell how they will be different from each other.

Hey Thamor, yea I've seen Vinland Saga and their reactions as well. It is a great show and I liked the progression of time, same in AoT, Vinland has better animation than Mushoku and some great dialogue but since I'm also partial to fantasy I'll rate Mushoku higher. Mushoku season 2 almost had no fighting/action but I was still excited every week to watch the new ep asap. Vinland had an amazing end though and brought S1 themes back so it's top 5/10 for sure. I'm thinking about starting Eminence in shadow or Kamikatsu (idk if i spelled it right), what do you think is better? For reference about isekai i like, it's Mushoku > Re:Zero > Slime if we are talking about recent anime.

Yeah, I think they did pretty good with a 13 episode cour to keep the plot moving but sadly some context was cut. I wouldn't go so far to call it a disappointment but I can understand why someone could feel that way.

Fight scene? That ghislaine one wasn't even a fight. She bodied those mofos. Same part with Rudy vs Badigadi, should have been cool as hell since its rudeus vs a demon lord but it was underwhelming.

So the consensus is Luke for "Homie Of the Year" right? Also, characters who are by design "shitty" that becomes "less so" have always resonated with me. Issei Hyoudou being a signature example. What Rudy was/is and what he's done previously, makes this journey he's been on this season compelling to watch. Legitimately was clutching my chest when he hugged Sylphie at the end.

The only fight scene that was kinda off was between Rudy and the dragon. It was still pretty hype, but the animation when he rapid fired it with spikes looked like that one DragonBall Super Goku meme
