Yhwach despising the current world, because he can feel the anguish and fear of all the countless dead who return to him is such an amazing character detail. It also explains why he hates conflict, but at the same time how he got so desensitized to others suffering. Also, I can understand why Yhwach was happy to lose his special eyes, he said it allowed him to see his father's defiled body. Not something you can keep looking at and stay sane for a long time.

Hope so too, I'm not a hater (regardless of what others might say) but squad zero (minus ichibei) vs the Quincy is the worst fight in the manga... in the whole thing, no cap. The attention to detail and the backstory are really elevating it in the anime. This is the definitive version.
