I mean at the end of the day Gang-tae DID save him and then Sang-tae was the one who left when Gang-tae started drowning lol just saying 💀

Oh man, we're at the heavy one. I don't think a single episode has broken me as much as this one has. That last scene is painful beyond words. Here goes.

korean guys can be really affectionate to each other as friends and still be straight. In their culture, it's pretty normal to be close in ways we aren't really used to seeing in straight guys in the US. I personally love to see it. It seems like it makes guys less emotionally constipated in relationships. But when I first was discovering Korean culture, took a lot to get used to. I mean, who knows, Jaesu might swing both ways too. But I think he just kinda acts like a "girlfriend" to Gangtae because he's been his only friend for so long.

I get what you guys are saying, but Sang-Tae ACTUALLY left his little brother for dead.. You gotta put in perspective how young and hurt Gang-Tae was at the time all that was happening. He hesitated but ultimately saved his brother, who in turn ran away when he was drowning and needed to be saved by Ko. I think Sang is just lashing out because he is hurt his brother is favoring someone else, and I think he is also dealing with his own guilt of being a "burden" to his little brother and for leaving him in the lake

Haven’t watched yet because at work (3rd shift 😔 lol) But just wanted to say how glad I am to see another upload for this show. Been loving it so far as a first time watcher of it. I skipped out on it for a bit until I binged the reactions in 2-3 days 😅

That last scene is always one of the hardest to watch. In one way I can understand feelings that Sang-tae had for those few brief moments and to hear Gang-tae say that... However, Gang-tae did come back, save him and it was Sang-tae who left him to drown. Also, their mother put a lot of pressure on a child to be a protector and put his brother's needs first. Anyone who has ever been a caretaker role can have those moments where it all feels like too much and resentment can come if you don't know how to deal with it or have an outlet. So if even adults have those moments, then imagine being an underage kid who is put in that role. And also, it can happen in reverse too. Someone who is made to feel like someone always has to take care of them or that they might be a burden can also feel like its too much. More than anything, I think Sang-tae knows that Gang-tae didn't try to kill him but he is also afraid that he will be abandoned or left behind. When you are scared for whatever reason, sometimes you say or do things you regret. The same can also be said for Gang-tae too in when he felt like his mother didn't love him, the resentment built. You can tell from watching the show that both brothers do love and care about each other. If Gang-tae didn't love and care for his brother, he could have just allowed social services to take him instead he took him and they stayed together all these years. But not being honest with each other about some things has colored their relationship and in order to be a better one they have to open up to each other.

These two brothers brought drama and are not even patients on the hospital 😭 But the ending scene still gets me because both their POV is valid. Sangtae - hearing your brother wishing you were dead and having him run away when you were almost drown is hard. I think that's why he ran away when Gangtae eventually helped him. Gangtae - so much undue pressure on him as a child. Not used to living for himself and always being considerate of his big brother. Like yall said about the unraveling...like you can see it from both brothers. They never acknowledged any issues with their relationship their whole life.

I lost it at the buckwheat joke LOL

This part made me like Gang tae a whole lot more when compared to Sang tae who's just a whiny little kid who conveniently forgot the fact that he left his bro to die.

Stone Brown

It’s not a kdrama but Ragnarok on Netflix is good new season is out just to throw it out there

Stone Brown

Ok cool and the live action lol not the anime right. I’m not a kdrama guy but I like that show I did watch it in English I thought it matched fine but I know how people are and

Yaboyrocklee

Ohhhhhhhhh. Live action Records of Ragnorak????? Probably not. The anime i think its simpler, shorter to post and edit and we still havnt covered. Tends to do better than the live actions

LightMyPath Star

Director…” Im folding like a beach chair and origami “ the simping is real 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Stone Brown

No it’s not a live action of the anime it’s it’s own show just a tv show it’s a Norwegian show it’s on Netflix 3 seasons 6 episode seasons

I forget this was the episode with that scene . It’s a hard watch Gang tae was the true victim in this Sang tae left him to die . I know I had to have compassion towards sang tae however this scene was unfair on gang tae His whole life was unfair .

Self defence law is fucked up in Korea. You'd better just let them hit you and sue them. Most of the times, just hitting back will be considered excessive use of force.

Leo

10:40 that line is parody of a lengendary k drama I Am Sorry, I Love You. If you don't know this in Korea, you are probably a north korean spy. Nah. Even they would know this one. It is that much of a legend.
