I love how morally gray rudy is in this show. With how woke and pc everything is in media nowadays it’s kinda refreshing to follow a protagonist with major flaws

About the slave thing there's another thing people forget, if you free all slaves and don't give them something to compensate all the time that they were slaves they will have a hard time, look at what happened in our world, i'm from brazil and here black people still feel the consequences, right after they freed the people they did nothing for them that's why i see what rudeus did acceptable, in the scenario that he is of course, if he bought her and just let her go shes as good as dead.

I honestly think one of the big points of this anime is that when the LN was written it was a different generation around and that the ones that are watching it, some are not mentally and emotionally able to handle the separation between the PC rules of reality and the rules of the fantasy world in the anime.

Its funny how people think a character should develop and not regress/slip up with certain things because characters, just like people, are apparently perfect and don't have issues. Let's develop a character and have him progress and not have him continue to have issues with his character cause that totally makes sense.

The characters being wild and messed up at certain points is also something I see as very entertaining opposed to the perfect type of character that doesn't have flaws. Not that they can't be done well but I find way more interest in realistic flawed characters. These characters are just more flawed in more realistic ways. Its a flawed world. Just like ours has always been. People expect too much of characters in stories. If they are meant to be realistic they will naturally have slip ups and not be a fully transformed character but still as life goes on continue to be better. #homelander

No you're based Lee. I have to mention that the comment about Rudy was bad leading in to their second paragraph and let me explain a little. It's ok to not like certain things about Rudy as a character but he has developed a lot since season 1. That being said, he still has much room to grow further which is one of the highlights of this series alongside the world building. As someone mentioned "Rudy does bad things but not with malicious intent," in short he's a huge idiot. I've said it since season 1 and I said it again in this latest episode; the man is working on his common sense when it comes to social interactions/situations. I'd die on the hill defending the show up till now as god tier.

I really don't understand hate-watchers. You "endured" Season 1? Is someone holding a gun to your head, forcing you to watch this show or die? It's your time, spend it how you want. Go watch something else, touch grass, whatever.

People are just dramatic, life is boring now that the average person doesn’t deal with anything serious anymore, a bunch of people who have never lived through any of the things they cry about, so they believe that a movie or show that has those things in them are just soooo terrible, and them using “Endured” is just victim talk, how dare this tv force me to watch it. But you already touched on that pretty well.

2023-08-24 11:26:52 I just hate that the world has gone in the direction where, even if the title is a joke, people have to actually be worried about being banned just for giving an opinion, like somehow people who have experienced sexual harassment and even people that haven’t are going to be physically harmed from someone saying something on the internet. I remember when I was a kid I was taught “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” now it seems like everyone is being taught the opposite, it’s pathetic for people to be so affected by words from my perspective, but that’s just because I was raised differently, regardless though I don’t believe a society who can’t even take criticism will ever progress substantially again…
