I think these recent episodes tells us a lot of why Ichikawa behaves the way he did. And it’s very true to someone who doesn’t have any confidence. I was once like him. I went through his exact process of self-doubting too. Thus he is very relatable to me. I’m a loner in middle school and I had negative thoughts frequently. Hence why I know it’s very realistic about what he went through. And i had my 1st love taller than me and build just like Yamada. It’s not just simply about, “Oh, she likes you, go out with her.” When we were going out, I will think about how her friends sees me, how everybody else sees us together, and how I looked like a her brother in compared to standing besides her. I always had that self-doubt, what does she saw in me, why does she chooses me, and there’s other better looking and competent guys around her, so why me? I still had such thoughts coming in once in awhile with my current wife. Luckily she puts up with my episodes and assured me that she only wants me when I had that attack.

Bro this show, and this ep especially, just has me smiling constantly from ear to ear. Even the parts where he over thinks and screws up cause im like "holy shit im not the only one that did that". My only issue is this show is so hard to recommend, similar to Nagatoro, it's not easy to recommend a show where a 13 year talks about Jerking it with a toilet paper roll a min in lol. Im so excited to see the next 2 ep and then read the manga after.

This was soooo adorable and cute! I understand Ichikawa though, and how he self-doubts so much. Luckily, Yamada is the most proactive but I feel like Ichikawa will be a force to be reckoned with once he comes to terms with his feelings and his ego matches Yamada’s feelings. The cutest thing was when Yamada ordered for Ichikawa, aw.

I was like the 6'3" version of him in high school lol. One of the school baddies would hang out with me, we did theater together, and went to a couple of plays. I distinctly remember a time where she came up to me and modeled her new pants and asked if the makeup in her back pocket made her butt look big. My response: No, not really. And then I walked away.
