4:50 (CC) stands for closed captions; assumes the viewer is completely deaf. Often overkill for reactions as it provides subtitles for non-speech sounds (i.e. "yells menacingly, water drips, [screaming] [applause] [Lee furrows his brow loudly]" or often has subs that spoils things [murderer approaches]. So stick with plain English subs usually :)

Guys, the deliveryman (or persons, haha) have automatic access to those houses, so when they arrive and use their QR Code, the doors open automatically, so the girl couldn’t have prevented them from getting in… 5-8 giving oxygen to the girl who wants to be like him; that was very adorable. The corporation’s son was getting reprimanded cause he’s not delivering the reports to the government, so maybe he’s doing something on the low? Or maybe he’s working with the women secretly as well? The camera lingered on their eyes a lot. Also, this is giving me a lot of Maze Runner #2 vibes with Mad Max and I stan.

It’s almost Death Stranding but with a tone that’s all over the place. I stopped watching halfway through. But yeah it’s closest media feel-a-like would be the game, Death Stranding.

“She shouldn’t have opened the gate” yes, like she was supposed to know that was gonna happen plus she didn’t even open the door, the deliverymen have automatic access to those houses, so when they arrive all they have to do is use their QR code and boom they are in, so there was no way for the girl to prevent it even if she tried.

Such an interesting show leaning more into the scifi genre. So cool. Love the main actor Woo bin, only seen him in 1 show before but his aura is crazy in this. Y'all are catching on quick! Tbh I needed to rewind a couple scenes haha im slow. Thanks guys

I didn’t want to discourage y’all, but even once you get the pronunciation down, it doesn’t sound like that when you actually say it. You don’t stress every syllable block. I learned that the hard way four years ago when I started my studies. 😬 But I love that y’all try. Most reactors don’t. 💜

If you guys want something different check out "Sanctuary" japanese TV-show in Netflix =)

Chinese and Korean are impossible to listen to and understand how it's written. Like names and then how they pronounce that name is impossible for western viewer to get it.

Ash Kaulitz

Honestly, Korean names aren't that hard to read off from Romanized Korean, unlike Chinese names which are a little bit harder. Listening to Korean names to understand how it's pronounced is even easier. Romanized Korean names are very easy to pronounce correctly once you understand how certain combinations of letters are supposed to be read which just comes from learning a bunch of Korean names over time and realizing the pronunciation rules that they all follow for those certain combinations of letters or just learning to read the alphabet itself which is also incredibly easy, most people can learn it in 15-30 mins. Regardless, They'll get it sooner or later as they watch more Korean shows and learn more Korean names. It's okay to not get it down properly yet, it's just something that comes naturally over time unless you spend time learning it, even if they never get there, that's fine as well.

Chinese, yes. Korean, no. Written Chinese is pictographic. It is literally impossible, for anyone, Western, Eastern, white, black, yellow, brown, to listen to a name and know how it's written. It's not a specific combination of letters that makes a sound, it's more like an emoji. 😬 could mean Bob. Written Korean is a phonetic alphabet. Each letter is a sound, based on the spoken language. Most of the sounds are easy enough, that I believe anyone who knows the letters can sound out a person's name correctly, from the Korean. However, translating the spelling of those sounds into English is weird. There are two variations to how Korean is romanized, "unni" and "eonni", the two syllables are "un", as in undo and "knee". The English side of me sees eon- in front of the word, and I do not come to that conclusion, at all. Chinese, and even bigger challenge. First, there are two languages when people think of Chinese, Mandarin and Cantonese. They share the same written language, however, don't necessarily use it the same way, and don't sound the same. Mandarin has 4 intonations, and Cantonese has 7. You can say "dog" seven different ways, each of them meaning something else. French, Spanish, German, all have different intonations, hence accent marks like the ß or é, î, etc... Romanizing Chinese into English, was probably the job of some monk who really likes the letter x and thinks it's underused.

Thamor, I can’t speak for Chinese, but I agree with Korean. You have to have a firm understanding to 받침 and when they travel or when they change pronunciation when followed by various letters (ㄱ followed by ㄱ makes second ㄱ turn into ㄲ), etc. The good news is, native speakers are kind and quick to help. My food delivery driver tonight spoke to me in English and I kept responding in Korean. I guess we both wanted to practice. ☺️

Mochi

Thanks for practicing your enunciation! I see you're trying Lee 🥺
