I deleted some comments because I’m not the person to dump your complaints on. There is Reddit for that. This here is my community, my family, i share things on video, and open myself to my community.

We choose to open up about our personal thoughts. Some of em are meant to be in jest but has a bit of truth. We all have them. Just we record ours and most people dont let the world know their inner thoughts. I’m not gonna read about people bashing my character because of the transparency to our inner thoughts. Id sooner trim those from the video or not talk about it. Just like the characters in the show. I have my old backstory. I have a healthy relationship with My Mother and my Sister took care of my normally. She’s ten years older than me. My father was extremely violent towards us. And when i cried…he beat me more.

As of now. We talk like adults but i do not open up to my father just my mother and sister. I cry around my wife and daughter.

I was taught that a Man should have zero weakness and be the epitome of strength.

I logically understand this is not healthy teachings but I’m not gonna undo my emotional upbringing any faster than this Tae Moo.

You get his backstory through the show so you understand and have sympathy for him. (He left this woman in the RAIN.

The woman he loves..because he has mental trauma over powering his actions) i think if you can understand that, you can understand I have my own things that prevent me from caring. (That’s because you got his back story)

I don’t control what i care about even if I understand it or can see both sides.

My base from was a happy boy who just liked to play and that was ruthlessly stomped on “be strong boy” “want me to give you something to cry about?” I’ll slap you through the wall”

So instead of the attacks on character. How about..why are you like that? Are you working to change?

It doesn’t help that most of my male friends have gone through something similar or have a similar make up. Rather ruthless towards each other hahaha. So yeah. Thats my story.

Whenever i talk about a sad story of mine. I laugh. You cant tell how serious I’m wrestling with something partly because of that.

Abdul Basit Bebal

i do understand your frustation guys belive me i do... LOL..... but remember this is how Kdramas are that why we love it... and if we have to get technical well if he told her that they should go on date she will reject it straight away because all the drama she been through already.... so making excusses to find that romantic moment doesnt seem bad idea

Slowburn cute romance for the main couple...Fast, wild and matured one for the 2nd couple. Perfect combination.

Kpop Fam98

Im already waiting for ep 7 XD

How dare you slander my boy Tae-Moo. He was possessed by the rain ptsd ghost. If not for that, they would've return with the grandchildren the next day.

94_h

Director with the korean finger hearts in the intro, so cute! Also, in South Korea, hidden cameras are a real issue; there have been many cases of woman getting filmed from public bathrooms, hotels or in the subway and I heard those things are even in porn sites… On a happy note, Adorkable laughing and pointing at Min-Woo’s girlfriend at 25:16, HAHAHA. This episode made start liking Kang Tae-Moo much more cause he looks very happy with Shin Ha-Ri, aww. In a way, the only way he can spend time is using work as an excuse cause I’m sure she would’ve said no if he actually asked her on a date.

94_h

The Grandpa literally told him to spend the night to have grandchildren asap, LOL.

Royal Yaya

I think he used work so much because if he actually just asked her she would probably say no. So I think he was trying to use work related things to spend time with her and create natural instances to build chemistry. Can't wait for the next episode!

That last scene was indeed hard to watch and almost everyone had the same reaction. He could have dropped her off right in the shed and let her take her stuff at least but it seemed like he doesnt want her to get a glimpse of his weakness. Thankfully, Hari was able to catch on what was really happening and understood him.

Karel

let's not police how reactors should react. it's ok to criticize these characters bc these characters aren't perfect and we have our own opinions at the end of the day. i, myself, was disappointed in tae moo in this episode but obviously i understood him more as the story progressed. i love how authentic this panel of reactors are, yall are my faves. ❤️

2023-04-22 05:43:26 Yes, this episode is hard to watch, but it is so good. This romcom is so good, the story seems simple and in some way it is predictable, but in the other hand it is not. It is fast paced and never leave the comedy tone, but is full of details that add deep meaning if anyone dig into it. This episode show us the villiane, it is not a person, it is the suffering, the lost, the trauma ... and is hard to see how it can take over you and destroy your dreams, your life. I don't want to bother you, but in the answers to this coment I will share some thoughts about the details I appreciate the most, although I leave some for the next episodes. By the way, I enjoy your reactions.

Hari and Taemoo are deeply alone, even when both have a best friend, but it is their only friend. Both have a diferent kind of trauma.Taemoo's trauma is pretty obvious here. But Hari's trauma is much more subtle and subs dosen't help. At the park, when Hari confess to Taemoo who she is, she dosen't said "if this is not a dream you will never come to take care of me". What she really said in korean is "... no one will come to take care of me". The first episode show us Hari alone in her bedroom in her birthday. She is extraordinary, but no one has choosing her. She has been waiting for seven years for Minwoo to choose her, but in the end he reject her once more.

grav

It is easy to think that Hari got the mega hit award because Taemoo is trying to expose her, but that is not true. In the first episode, he remember her name because he has choose her for a recognition. His secretary said "she is the one you selected ...".

grav

In the first episode, when Hari told Youngseo that Minwoo call for her birthday, Youngseo is confuse because Minwoo is not a person that remember such things. In the third episode Minwoo said to Hari that Yoora want to know about the concert. So, Yoora and Minwoo were behind the tickets and the message to Hari... "we are back, get lost".

Karel

For me, Taemoo is supposed to be a "perfect" guy. He's not supposed to be relatable to us common people lol. But of course, he is human too and thus has flaws as well, which might not be easy to understand for us viewers but these will make him more human/reachable in Hari's eyes. ❤️

grav

Apologize for my english. In a previous comment, when I said "nobody choose her" I mean something like this: This drama makes us laugh, enjoy, scream and melt, but it also shows us something very real. Someone like Hari, who overcomes so many limitations and progresses socially, usually lives very alone. This is how Hari is introduced to us in the first chapter, everything seems ok, but no. Things go wrong and at the end she is alone in her bedroom. It is her birthday, where are her friends that could celebrate with her? She only has Youngseo, but she is rich so there is no way Hari can be a part of her world, only on the other way around. I met such a person. They do not feel part of any world, that determination and capacity that leads them to progress both, distance from the people of the world they came from, and the poverty of their family, the deep differences and prejudices make it difficult for them to integrate into the world they arrive. Hari's friends aren't really her friends, they haven't chosen her or integrated her as one of them, not even Minwoo, who instead of celebrating her birthday sends her to find a boyfriend elsewhere. But this drama is so fun and light that it doesn't dwell on those things, but those things are there and that adds depth to the story and characters. Even if we don't think about it in some level we get it and that are some of the reasons why this drama has been so successful and is becoming more popular every day despite the fact that it ended a year ago.

Looking through the comments, I have 2 thoughts about Tae Moo during that last scene: 1 was almost everyone had pointed out: he had a trauma and doesn't want Ha-Ri to see him being vulnerable. However I don't see anyone pointing out 2nd point that I saw: he is not bring an asshole by demanding Ha-Ri to alight immediately and not driving her to the nearest bus-stop to alight her. He simply doesn't want her to be in the car any second longer, because he is afraid that he might not control the car well under PTSD and caused another similar accident as his parents had, and killed Ha-Ri along with him. For someone having PTSD like him, how the accident happened will always be in his mind, thus he will not want another person with him, in case he recreated the scene again due to his PTSD. That's my take on why he reacted that way.

Yaboyrocklee

Okay Aqua…….ha. Thats a dope read. I’m almost convinced to let it go. It’s rather spot on.

John Ng

You can see that he was trying to grip the steering wheel tightly and controlling the wheel. That's how I see why he reacted that way towards Ha-Ri

The friend I met who was like Hari was also clinging to an unsatisfactory relationship. In real life, that man entered into a romance with her, but without commitment. He moved away and approached at its convenience. She helped him with his work and welcomed him every time he came back. Like Hari, at a certain point she ended up crying in disappointment when she realized that he didn't love her. I was with her at that moment and she decided to accept the loss and move on with her life. But after a while she couldn't handle loneliness and went back to look for him. I told her not to do it, that she deserved much more and that's when I lost her friendship and I haven't heard from her for many years. The arrival of Taemoo in Hari's life is as it should be.
