Bro i could argue about Naruto all day lol 😆 Sasuke was a more compelling character than Deku but that's just me. You kinda right about his mentality tho, but if the sound 5 never showed up with Orochimaru's offer i don't think he woulda just left on his own, he woulda just become a lot more unbearable and probably pestered Kakashi for more training.

Sasuke was a generic edgy boring character in my opinion

Sasuke these days only gets nerfed. Poor sad boi.

I like this arc with deku going edgy and emo opposed to sasuke being edgy and emo due to the fact that deku never ever changed his way of thinking but instead naturally turned edgy because he felt the need to do so in order to change things back to the way they were and keep everyone safe. Even after seemingly turning into a completely different kind of character deku never strayed from who he is as a person which is technically a big plus because it isn't as cringe from an outside perspective as a viewer. As a kid with your mentality and all growing up you would find sasuke to be super cool and against the grain and all but as a grown up you tend to see it as being childish and cringe. I am not trying to completely dunk on sasuke because when I first watched naruto a long time ago I thought he had some good moments. I just think that this arc showed the difference between characters such as deku and sasuke with being so similar but at the same time very different. I could go on and on about it. I have my issues with Deku as well and how the author treats him as an MC over the course of the series but this still isn't much of a challenge in my eyes when saying Deku was way more compelling in this arc than sasuke was. Its all my opinion though

This comparison so disrespectful to Sasuke my God. People in this year are still understimating the trauma and abuse and dumbing it down to sasuek being edgy or ‘betraying’. This dude sasuke minded his own business and was harassed by the leaf at each turn

Abdul Basit Bebal

hell yeah man. Lee i am behind you 100% plus ultra

Travis Boyett

fuck sasuke he he was is and will always be a fuck boy

ThunderRaichi10000

Ok, just because Deku is going through some edgy phase doesn’t mean you get to compare him to Sasuke who has had trauma since he was 7 all the way till he was 16 and I’m getting real sick and tired of everyone nowadays disrespecting Sasuke and underestimating Sasuke’s trauma and pain by dumbing it down to him being just edgy or some edgelord, Sasuke saw his whole clan die at the age of 7 by his own brother if that doesn’t make any child be the way Sasuke was then idk what does(shoot Sasuke was a kind child before all that happened he also relives it when he was 12 or 13), then for the next 5 or 6 years his goal was to kill his brother, he went rogue to gain that power since he wasn’t getting it while he was in the Leaf (if the sound ninja 4 didn’t come to remind him of his goal then Sasuke would most likely give up revenge) and when he finally gets it he then learns that everything he knew was built on lies even his goal was lie, and I can’t even imagine the amount of emotional/mental damage that Sasuke got after learning the truth about Itachi, and after that you can tell Sasuke was losing his sanity you even see him lose all of it when he had that crazy laugh after he killed Danzo, so after all that trauma and pain he went through growing up you have the nerve to compared Deku’s little edgy phase (which btw is over in the next episode or the episode after that) to Sasuke’s trauma and pain which he has been going through for several years.

bakugo had the chance to join the bad guys and he didn't.

ThunderRaichi10000

Whatever Sasuke hater you clearly don’t understand Sasuke at all because you are dumbing down all the several years of pain and trauma he went through as simply just him being edgy.

Dirty_Oldman

I can’t agree with your points because Itachi exists and then Madara as well. Both of which would stomp everyone in MHA. Sasuke had a better reason to leave than Deku.

Dirty_Oldman

No problem, I like point about Deku being a hero. It kind of changes both their core values and how they operate. Sasuke only gets my respect because his goal was Itachi(who is my favorite character btw).

Yaboyrocklee

Yeah that’s really the only point. That mattered to me. So we actually agree on what matters lol. If i had responded with a rebuttal we would have debated for nothing haha. They have different core values and i was reminded of both retrievals. Lol. The core values drove the scenarios willdy different. I took jabs at sasuke for the entertainment aspect. But I understood when i did that id get pushback lol. But without it. My passion would be stunted. So i just flowed lol

Le_Lng

lmao Lee, you're so goated bruh, I appreciate the content.

Thamor

Deku is the most stereotypical boy wants to be hero story. Sasuke at least had emotional problems, because of all the Uchiha stuff that happened. I rate Sasuke over Deku myself, but I am a person that likes more revenge stories or tragedy stories over superhero style stories.

SolitaryLark

Hmm the years don’t really matter since we are not shown it in a compelling way. Simply stating that a character has these reasons is not the same as displaying it well.
