Danmachi S4, Ep 19 16:43 Lee's vocalizing his anxiety to de-stress, and you can see from Adorkable and Director's faces that they've got it internalized. I can tell you're all really feeling the gravity of the situation throughout. 18:26 "maybe the dungeon will defend itself" Yeah, you guys have already seen it a bunch in past seasons, it completely fixes itself over time. 35:40 You already talked about it earlier in the episode, but really her BAD LEG is massively slowing them down. If their normal speed is a 10, they might be at like a 2 or a 3 due to the leg. That, with the number of times Bell had to turn around to save Ryuu in the past couple of episodes, she's feeling like a liability in battle. Yeah, she's been fighting too, but to a large extent Bell is on an escort mission to get her out, so that's just increasing her guilt more and more. Passing on the survivor's guilt though, wow, that's one way to put it.

I feel that the anime doesn’t depict the hopelessness of the situation at that moment for Ryuu to do that. I remembered the LN depicting the situation being hopeless, hence why she did that to save Bell.

i forget who said it, maybe lee, but you might be onto something. maybe the clear condition for the coliseum is to destroy everything at once, with one shot. your instinct would be to kite enemies and clear them a bit at a time.

i get how yall feel about the dungeon taking a long time and maybe its because it feels a bit claustrophobic with no outside or any fan service and no Hestia, but the entire arc takes place in the dungeon and this episode was the payoff. they did it so damn well

It isn't as generally popular of a series but its fanbase is more quality over quantity in my eyes. As you can see the feedback on patreon is good even though the views on youtube are lower than normal. It has a lot of strong and more attached fans opposed to the general audience type of popularity. The fanbase is there but it isn't like a popular shonen where people see it getting attention and instantly hop on to ride on the train. Its more so a group of people that like the series for certain things and stick with it and cherish it.
