I got you lee. So no ones powers in the prison was suppressed. They just had 24/7 surveillance and very strong guns on every single prisoner. So if anyone so much as sneezed wrong they was getting shot. When AFO had shigaraki’s body send out an emp. It turned off the surveillance cameras which gave AFO the window he needed to completely shut down all systems and let everyone out. If AFO decided to only use force and bust the walls down then yeah the whole prison would’ve been submerged.

Lee i respect your opinions on anime and hold them in very high regard. you and director know whats good and whats shit. as Shonen go MHA is probably the worst out of the list of One Piece, Bleach, Black Clover, Naruto, MHA, AOT, JJK , Demon Slayer

Never

For some maybe. Like if it was your first anime or something, I could see it being the best for a person. But One piece will be my pick until another anime comes close to how consistently great it's been for over 20 years.

greenb3ar

Oof. It’s not even the best show Bones has put out in the last couple months.

You kidding? Its still way better than garbage slayer. Stop.

If it kept ups it consistency it would be a great shonen. Probably one of if not the best so far. The highs and the possibilities it had was next level. When it had highs it would be top tier moments. Its just a lot of MHA has lost its ways and has drifted from what it should have been. Should have centered way more around Deku. Deku was who you got invested in first. Instead its more like "my hero endeavor" to where so much focus has went into the adults and endeavor. Deku had a great setup and the possibilities were endless with how many great routes it could have taken. The characters are so vast and different. Season 6 has been great and we are in my favorite arc but I have been disappointed in Horikoshi for quite a while now with how he has taken the series. Probably ever since the all might vs all for one fight its been going down a disappointing route. They a lot of haters in the anime community. A lot more normie mainstream anime watchers tend to be happy with MHA. I still can be happy with it and am invested in the series but it could have went a thousand times better. It still has good writing in it as well. A lot of intertwining plot lines. A lot of character developments. Haters are going to just hate on it but I wouldn't say it is the best.

Coming from a comic book reader, MHA was one of my more recent dips into shonen anime when it's first season came out and I have always thought of it as discount x-men. Now, I tried to be objective and throw that judgment away when looking at it through critical lens and enjoyed some elements of it like Stain and all for one vs. All-might. However, it just falls flat on so many other aspects. Shigaraki is in my opinion, one of the lamest villains I've seen in recent years. I literally don't feel tension or a threatening presence from him and he is basically being hyped up so much in the show. There is a little more context as to his importance but man I find him underwhelming. Speaking strictly from the manga, because im not entirely sure where the anime is up to (so i'm, going to be a little vague) I caught up to this specific arc with Deku that my friend mentioned to me which I thought looked cool but it was underwhelming what really happened. I think it's underwhelming and not one of the best shonens and the fanbase really makes it hard to even approach or criticize the story. I personally think, MHA peaked in the All-might vs. All-for-1 fight.

I don’t think MHA is the best. I just put a title that gets attention and threw a question mark lol. In the actual video. I just talk about what I’m enjoying and called season 5 mid basically.

Dirty_Oldman

I take MHA talk with a grain of salt. It reminds of of One Piece, which wasn’t good back in the day. Naruto and Bleach was eating good but now One Piece is arguably one of the best anime of all time. MHA season 5 was also the same low point in the manga. It felt slow for week to week but the pay off was worth it. Season 2 had the same issue because it was unnecessary tournament arc but it leads into Stain.

Kyle

yeah i get you Lee i was just bringing some friendly banter back your way lol. and LC demon slayer is pretty good to mindlesly watch the story is extremely linear and all of the characters are one note so theres not much of any depth to the series but the effects make it enjoyable to watch. that said its nothing special its the most basic shonen there is. MHA at least has a lot of character development and growth. i just hate all the characters to begin with so their growth meant absolutely nothing to me thats why i have MHA lower than Demon slayer
