I think that they might even do a season 2. The only difference might be with how season 2 starts compared to the 1st ep of the webtoon. But overall I'd love to see them do it.

Waari

The ending is actually chapter 1 in the webtoon.

It's a real common trope in school action manhwa and manga. Associations of gangs and school representatives and shit. They always run gambling, drugs, blackmail, exploitation and sometimes sex trafficking when its mixed school or even girls only school. Also the teachers dont give a shit in those shit school since they are government employes so they are pretty much collecting paycheck and avoiding any and all confrontation.

Kinglaive

The legend of Eunjang "White Mamba" starting.. damn i hope they make season 2 soon

Niamh

The thumbnail has me excited to watch hahaha

I feel bad for that UFC fighter though, he didn't gang up on Soo Ho and he was right about it just being a spar, he didn't stomp on him or do shady shit ( I assume he didn't see the guy trip him while he was recovering? ), and yet he got it the worst with a potentially-career ending injury. Also I really love how realistic this manhwa can be, all 3 friends didn't "power through everything" like its originally portrayed, in fact everything fell to Hell because of miscommunication, jealousy, provocation and abuse. I think if Soo Ho made the same amount of effort Si Eun did to try and understand what was happening with Bum Seok, it wouldn't have escalated to such levels. Not blaming Guardian Angel of course, Bum Seok ( but mostly his father ) are to blame in it along with the bullies, but I can also sorta see Bum Seok's point on being moved aside and this new person essentially having most of Soo Ho's time, to the point where he got mad at Bum for raising his voice at Young Yi for answering his phone ( something that understandably anyone should be angry about ) and accidentally bringing his bullies over to where he was, if Si Eun wasn't there and went ahead with Soo Ho & Young Yi, that could've ended horribly for Bum in that room alone, ( I also think the 4 cans was symbolic, when he left one in the room he hid in from the bullies and only brought back 3 ). The bullies were giving him more 'recognition' after saving him from his past bullies, and from thereon he lost his mind and snapped out of it too late, its really sad to hear he was probably offed in the Philippines. Really hope the worst of the worst happens to the Assemblyman.

itaewon class, its ok not to be ok, reborn rich, hotel de luna, healer, alchemy of souls and vagabond are really good, love ur reactions guys whatever you choose illl watch

The whole story is sad and unfortunate. Great season one, kind of hoping they don't do a season two. It's refreshing to see that they didn't add a romance. It's was about the trio and nothing else. The only people I feel bad, bad for is Soo-Ho and Young-Yi. I'm glad she cut ties. It seem she made a wise decision. I fully expect Si-Eun to be a terrifying crime boss in the future. Lol. And Beom-Seok to be a weasel using his money to buy people and friendships. I think Soo-Ho is in a coma and hopefully he wakes up maybe like two years later and reconnect with Young-Yi. I can see them having a romance in the future. Not sure but I swear the actress who play Young-Yi and one of the bullies was in All of Us Are Dead.

Love the thumbnail! Another great series with y'all! Looking forward to the next KDrama series!

honestly i really love that they had Sieun using weapons and stuff. It is realistic, but its looked at as "dirty tactics" (as the fighter said in the last ep) and usually a series wouldn't have the main character, a high school character at that, using weapons in the way Sieun does, but Sieun is so different from most protagonists purely for that reason. He has so much anger in him, esp after his 1st and best friend Sooho is now in the hospital. Sieun only ever cared about studying, and then he got friends for the first time, & everything went to shit and he was left alone all again so that anger and pain just increased tenfold. Sieun is a dangerous character, esp now, as you guys mentioned, he threw away his future on revenge for Sooho. I'm super curious how that will affect his characterization in a s2, which I'm assuming is pretty likely we will get as its clear they're planning one and the series is popular enough that I think they'd be able to do it.

I want to recommend DP as another good show to watch that isn't too long. It is a look into the military life of men that have to serve in korea. But I would love to see y'all watch It's Ok to Not Be Okay. It's one of my ultimate favorites.

DragonX1

It's made from a webtoon called Weak Hero, Obviously the characters are the same just has different names (might be because it's in korean) But season two will be a thing because that's where the webtoon starts, let's just say it gets way more in depth then this season hahaha

Anaïs

It's actually inspired from a webtoon. This season 1 wasn't even a quarter of the actual story, it's was just a prequel/backstory on Si Eun. The set up at the end of episode 8 is the begin of the actual story with more to tell. It also doesn't have a romance to begin with, it's lowkey about fighting between high-schoolers and their friendships. If they do adapt S2, which I hope they do because this first season was so well fleshed out, it will be much more intense than this.

Anaïs

I just subscribed, so hello there ! Really good reaction, I know I've been watching few reactions to this show but y'all actually discussed the characters and the story, showing you tried to understand. Thank you for reacting to this show. Originally, this doesn't seem like it, but it's not like a high production type of drama, so the producers and the actors themselves didn't thought it would have much success, but they were proved wrong, this series made the buzz in the K-drama community and also in South Korea where the ratings topped every shows. So, this is such a great indicator that S2 is very likely happening. Also as you've just finished watching this, I see that you have mostly reacted to Netflix popular k-dramas. Weak Hero here is one of those shows that aren't produced nor distributed by Netflix but are amazing. South Korea has so many shows with insane storytelling and good productions like this. Such as : "My Country : The New Age", a historical drama series set during the early days of the Joseon Dynasty period, it's straight up a "bromance/action", it's originally about two best friends who ended having very different vision for the future of their country. It's historically based but not fully accurate as these two are fictional characters. It's a good series. Then, "Mouse" it's thriller/crime, actually this series might be very different from everything you've seen so far, it's a suspenseful story about psychopaths asking the question "If we could detect them before their birth ?", it's heavy and dark. The story is great. Lastly, "Vagabond", it might be the among the kind of series you've seen so far. It's an action-packed series that mixes incredible action sequences, comedic and dramatic moments, exciting story and a bit of romance. More light-hearted than "Mouse". Actually, the main character in Mouse is the same in Vagabond. :) Also, I don't know if you ever thought about it, but C-dramas are amazing as well. Although they are very different, generally they are 40-45 minutes long and they have only one season, just as most Korean ones, but they have more episodes. Like some of them go from 20 to 70 episodes (depending on the series), so these stories are very much developed and it requires dedication. I'm just throwing it out there if interested, you could maybe at some point start one. The most worthwhile are the historical ones and Wuxia/Xianxia dramas, a lot are live-action. Anyway, I hope my comment helped, thank you again for this reaction.

Jerome

I hope they do C-dramas to. It would be a serious commitment cause yes some be hella long sometimes.

Anaïs

The thing that is good is that they are watching multiple series at the same time, anime and k-dramas from what I've seen, if they want, they can add one slot for a c-drama. It would be insane for them to react to something like "Joy of Life" I'm sure they would love it.

James

Is this a prequel or a loose adaptation of the WEBTOON? This version low key better

strange& sleepless

The way korean society works at this moment is really creating tons of little psychopaths... These might just be TV shows but none of these things are exaggerated. I've heard stories from real korean people worse than anything they've shown in any show I've seen. And the worst thing about it is there are barely any consequences. And instead of getting to the root of the problem and preventing this from even happening, they seem to only focus on ostracising grown ups with bully back grounds once they find out but not do much about whats actually currently happening in schools. At least that's what i'm getting from korean people and media online, I don't live there so idk but i'm sure there's some good people actually trying to change things here and there too.

strange& sleepless

Netflix actually just released another show that's also about this topic called ''the glory'', and It seems to be doing quite well but I personally didn't love it. Looking forward to what show you'll be doing next.

Thank you so much for reacting to this series! I know we’ve all seen the high school bullying trope, but this was different in its own way. I hope you and Director felt it was worth your time to watch.

2023-06-01 00:37:09 I think I’ve recommended Vagabond (action) & Uncanny Counter (drama / fantasy) in the past, but can I also recommend Crash Landing On You? Idk if you’ll feel it’s not really your type (rom com). I just remembered after seeing the end of the Weak Class finale, and the new guy that is now bullying Si Eun. (Actor real name : Yoo Su Bin) plays a really lovable character in CLOY. Again, it may not be for you. Just putting it out there.

I actually really liked The Glory especially the "greatest detective alive". Lol. I'm hoping they do The Glory next cause it's new but I don't know if Director can handle it. Lol.

AllB

an adaptation of chapter 26-37 which is the mc's past before the start of the webtoon. The webtoon starts off with him being at the new school.

god i would LOVE for them to react to Mouse (it's literally my favorite series of all time) but I rec'd them Weak Hero cuz Mouse is one of those well 1) no one is reacting to & they want smth that's going to get views (understandable, this is a lot of time and effort to do smth that doesn't guarantee ppl will watch). Mouse was unfortunately overshadowed by Beyond Evil and Vincenzo (tho i personally like Mouse like 10x more, tho I did enjoy Vincenzo. BE i found a bit more on the predictable side but didn't finish) and 2) they wanted smth shorter and NOT like Vincenzo which is 20 eps at an hr and 20min an ep and Mouse is... exactly that, with even LONGER eps & 22 of them, like the final is nearly 2 hrs long, so I don't think they'd ever react to Mouse, as much as I'm dying to see more reactions to it, esp from reactors like them who actually discuss the series because Mouse is my favorite show ever along with Hannibal. In the same vein I'd love to suggest them the kdrama Blind that just recently finished. it's 16 eps and starring Taecyeon who was Hanseok in Vincenzo, but some of the eps are Vincenzo length tho a lot of them are also a lot shorter at only an hr, so I'm not sure how likely that one would be. And not many ppl have reacted to it cuz it is so new and not readily available unfortunately. edit: just realized my display pic is literally from Mouse, well there you go, a show of how much i love it

Smash Bran'Discootch

This was a really good show. Thanks for introducing me to it.

June Patel

Love this guys! If you like ‘the what’s gonna happen next’ aspect of this show I have some Kdrama suggestions for y’all: Big Mouth, beyond evil, strangers from hell, Devil Judge, the smile had left your eyes. For movies: the merciless, and Believer.

Anaïs

I mean, I know a reactor for Mouse, as you can guess, her audience is full of k-drama lovers, and the series did so well on that channel, I remember a few months ago she had made a post on Patreon because too many people at the same time were trying to access the reactions of Mouse and she had to add links, so she added this series in her highest tier and till today, many people subscribe to watch her reactions on it. I mean, it's probably not as popular as Vincenzo's but a lot of people have seen it. Blind is a bit too bland to my taste, I saw the series but honestly hard to finish, I think it might be a bad introduction for the Korean thriller genre. Mouse appeared to me as the most entertaining one.

WTF Director "Leave", he still hasn't got his answers from this idiot UFC fighter wannabe. Found it funny that you quit now from his revenge quest.
