Hello, person learning korean here! Most of the times when names are said in K-dramas the honorifics are not translated so Si Eun's name is simply Si Eun, but because Si Eun is (assumedly) younger than Su Oh an -ah is added to his name everytime Su Oh says it. So most of the time if you hear extra syllables on a name that you can't see them on the screen, just assume it's an honorific of sorts. This can also be accounted for when you see names, but hear phrases such as 형(hyung), 누나(noona), 오빠(oppa), 언니(unnie). All of these are honorifics that can be used in place of names based on gender and relationship. hyung - used by males "older brother" noona - used by males "older sister" oppa - used by females "older brother" unnie - used by females "older sister" Brother/sister does not always mean that they are literally related, but that they are a close friend.

Thanks for the reaction. This episode is a great example of why I love Kdrama's so much. Kdramas do things different. A really good Kdrama can make you feel things other types of shows don't. A good example is Woo which makes you feel good. With this show and this episode, I'm like "Why Oh Beom-Seok, why? Just stop. Talk it out".

I started watching on Netflix a revenge KDrama Glory, if you guys have any interest for that. It's been pretty good and I started it as it has some similar themes to it like reason for revenge is bullying from school times.

Have you thought about asking for alchemy of souls on Netflix

Appreciate the discussion at the end. I listened to you and Director’s rant at the very end a couple of times, totally agree with you both. Beom was acting out of character, but then thought idk what his true character is. He’s not a bully like his fake friends, nor a defender like Soo Ho, and he doesn’t have the quiet confidence and fearlessness like Si Eun. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Btw in Korean 'Si' is always pronounced as 'Shi' so his name is pronounced 'shieun'. And when you say 'Annyeong' emphasize the 'ng' part more like in the english word 'young'. You don't have to get it right, it's fine, just a little tip from me.
