Yea. I think around ep 5-6. I felt investment. Ozen was than 🔥🔥. Than seeing these kids escape the Danger keeps getting better. I was gonna give Roshi a peace ofmy mind if it stayed like the 1st 4 episodes lol. I keep patreon only. Just wanted to do it cuz i hear good things. We are finally there

Ya riko has this bad habit of blindly adventuring into horrible situations. shes so optimistic and curious and it just ends badly. I think i had a similar reaction the first time i saw this episode. it SOOO graphic and brutal and like director was saying, they had been in little tough situations, but this is when you really realise how screwed they are. I think part of the reason riko is so carefree though is because the abyss seems to draw people into it through some undefined power i think. So partially , its not her fault. its what makes having reg with her so important because he isnt affected at all. Oh and p.s. the poison wasnt actually expelled, that was riko halucinating.

The author had to start going all out from this point forward because the series wasn't hitting the numbers it needed to not get axed when he was writing this show so I like to call everything before this point just simply build up for the real stuff of made in abyss from here on forward.

Great reaction guys. Glad you hung in there. 9 episodes to actually begin watching the real Made In Abyss. I'm glad it made you feel some kind of way. I would NOT call this show one of my favorites, (not my cup of tea) but it's definitely a must watch for a complete "well rounded" anime education

Yea, Made in Abyss doesn't sugarcoat things. Dying is never pretty. That said, Made in Abyss is a show that is made by an artist and you can tell. The designs are unique af and the story is it's own thing and doesn't just take the beats from every other fucking anime (like all Isekais, lol)
