I really think Lee was onto something before with the shadows reminding him of the atomic bomb, and now they straight up show bombing runs from the war and how it was a traumatic memory. This story's definitely got some connections / inspiration from the war.

Yeah, unfortunately that's the downside of Disney+ acquiring a series and instead of releasing it weekly like most companies do, they've just decided to release in select areas in the East, probably waiting until the series is wrapped up to release it overseas in bulk like Netflix tends to do.

It's flying under the radar because unless you live in select areas of the world like Japan or Korea, there's no official means of watching the show, which means there's much less eyes on the show. I guarantee that if Crunchyroll got their hands on this series and was releasing it weekly so that there was an easy and legal way of watching it, it'd have blown up early on. By the time Disney decides to make it available, probably by releasing it all at once, any hype it would've had will be non-existent because this upcoming anime season is absolutely stacked with mainstream "AAA" anime. Show's literally called Summertime Rendering, yet they won't make it available to most audiences until afterwards.
