I see a lot of people be A-holes in these comments so ill point it out, the fact that you can infuse yourself with conquerors (color of the supreme king) is COMPLETELY new information, i get the feeling that you always thought that was possible (probably from fights where weve seen all the black lightning shooting off like Doffy and don chinjao but that was just two conquerors asserting their will during a fight not actually internally applying it to their attacks) Luffys training with Ryou was to learn how to force armament haki into the recipient of an attack, and this advanced conquerors is basically the same thing but with a different power source than Armament

Lee wrote he has no idea why everyone is explaining haki. I feel like the reason foe that lies in what I wrote in my comment above. It's unnecessary complicated and the whole thing is either inconsistent (not always the same visual effect for haki) or makes not too much sense (Luffy not always using Ryuo when attacking Kaido).

And the thing is, from my point of view, the fans are always quick to explain things or even spoil stuff if one finds something illogical or has some light criticism or whatever, cause they want you to enjoy the series as much as they do. I know it sounds condesending, but from my experience criticism is not always well received in the fandom.

Hmm I don’t think this is Lee not understanding what’s going on I do think he missed the significance. I believe Lee was under the false impression that conquers was already being used in attacks when it hasn’t really and this is the first actual known application of conquers to augment an attack. (Clearly many character have used it in the past we simply didn’t know). It’s stated flat out in the episode that conquers is being used which is probably why Lee found it insulting that you’d suggest he didn’t notice it. If it was “underwhelming” to you I think it’s completely because of the reasons I previously explained Lee saw it but didn’t see it as anything new in his eyes. (Just my personal impression I could be wrong idk 🤷‍♂️)

I’d say yes that’s exactly what has people in a tissy. People definitely could have been more respectful about it as always. (It’s kinda interesting that you didn’t not know something you actually thought you knew but incorrectly, which I think people are even worse at correcting those sort of thing nicely then the other)

Like or dislike something there will always be those that disagree and try to “correct” you. (I often see people complain both that people complain to much and that no one criticizes one piece enough.) So it’s really not any different then any other fandom it’s just older and more active then many.

Correct John. Although i am aware luffy has Conquers haki. I also interpreted that as his Haki Type. So i thought any time he used Haki it was always the conqueror type but that doesn’t mean people always start collapsing around him lol. This is the first time I’m realizing it Like Some Sage Mode chakra or Kurama Chakra. It’s a different Haki totally from his regularly Haki that he can ADD

Lee is very clearly paying attention and acknowledging the dialogue. When the “reveal” happens he looks confused and yes “well yes” as if to say of course he clearly didn’t “miss” it he was just under false assumption. (To throw your own words back at you maybe you should pay more attention to the reactors reaction?) Expressing how you feel is completely fine but the way you went about it is completely uncalled for dude.

Ah that confusion likely came from when specializations where mentioned. Luffy specializes in conquers, Zoro on armament, and Sanji on observation. However each of them could technically have all three which Luffy (and I think Zoro) do. (Chakra analogy is a good one for sure)

I aint paid attention to all the comments but I read your bit under the video post. People are explaining because the anime went so nuts with this episode that a lot of anime-onlys didn't understand what really happened here. This was maybe the one time where majority of OP community agreed they did too much with the animation - personally I'd rather they do too much than deal with Dressrosa-tier animation again lol so I'm beyond happy with it Haven't watched the reaction yet but ye no big deal if you didn't understand it but if you did then well done :D

Was it just me or did Luffy’s voice mature? Like he sounded like he was older/wiser than he has been before. This was an awesome episode and Killer is amazing. Cant wait to see more of him.

People explain it because both anime and manga don’t really expand on it it’s up to the reader to put together all the pieces we’ve learned since seeing shanks on white beards ship and put it all together
