Yeah the anime went crazy on the bully part except they used water buckets instead of water bottles in the LN and it was supposed to happen on the rooftop and not in a basement of a construction site but at the end you can see Ryuuen dragging her to the rooftop basically

It’s not that y’all off it’s really like forgot cause since end of last season he said he gon find that person & he would do (anything)season 2 from the beginning he said this cause they the reason his class lost back in the camp arc not saying he right or wrong but his plans been the same & koenji too he was trying to see the people who was gonna follow him and deduct from there who’s the leader so it wasn’t really him thinking koenji was the mastermind

I think Ayanokouji already knows Kei is there alone. He's letting her suffer awhile to see how much trust can he put on her. And possibly to judge his feelings for her. Once he determines enough about her, he will spring his counterattack.

I 100% agree with the post discussion @YaBoyRockLee. I'm not even on team hope, but he made a promise / deal to protect her and hold up his side even if he isn't the mastermind anymore, so I just can't believe he's not a man of his word. But he 100% should know that Kei is being tortured for info. There was too much lead up, the picture Ryuen sent of Kei, Class C stalking Kei, Ryuen's tactics getting more and more aggressive towards class D, and then the Koenji scene was such a desperate move, and then pressing ayanokoji with a message. If ayanokoji is even half the mastermind he's built up to be in the series he definitely knows what's happening to Kei right now. As to how the writing goes as you guys said we're really just gonna have to see what turn they take.

Speculating under the premise that he knows, and let Kei even be touched. I doubt that the torturing of Kei will be the turning point for ayanokoji, in terms of him gaining new motivation. I don't think he's that soft if he's let the torturing even get THIS far. To me It would have to be something even greater. Unless he gets like ptsd triggered from his "white room" experiences.
