Ok so far both episodes give the feeling that a disaster is going to happen.

Props to Mr. Editor

Tiger95

Can't wait for Bell and [redacted] to go against [redacted]

Lucio Hinojosa III

Enhanced species are monsters that have eaten other monsters to become stronger. The more crystals they eat, the stronger and smarter they get. Not smart enough to form a personality like Zennos, but enough to analyze and form tactics. It's some light novel info that should've been in season 1 but got cut from the anime.

Tiger95

Kinda was explained in the anime but the Sword Oratoria anime but that's just me being a smart ass. Wasn't there like a slight mention of it in season 3 with Lyd explaining something about them killing other monsters and eating the crystals?

John Ng

Since I’ve read the LN of this awesome arc, I can only say at this point that I’m in awe of Adorkable’s deducing skills. This girl can solve crime! Not going to spoil what she’s correct about, but this is going to blow your mind. This episode is not even the tip of the iceberg.

UltrA_ Ojisan

Mikoto is a badass easily one of my fave shawties.

John Ng

@Tiger95, you’re right. The Xenos actually explains briefly that there are enhanced monster and there are “enhanced” monster. One type is Xenos, and the others are those that eats the crystal core of other monster to “enhance” themselves.

Tiger95

@John Ng I can't recall exactly since it has been so long but did they explain that in the early volumes of the LN or was it only really brought up in the later ones of the main story? I know it was fairly early in Sword Oratoria LN but my memory is failing me on the early main story.

Tiger95

I don't think anyone who hasn't read the LN has any idea just how awesome things are going to get. This was easily the best arc of the entire LN and really hope they don't skip out on too much.

John Ng

If I remembered correctly it's in the anime as well when Bell was meeting the Xenos in the dungeon. They explained how they are different from other monsters Bell and gang encountered in the past.

John Ng

I presume it's these 4 volumes judging by the 22 or 23 episodes for this season. It doesn't makes sense to do only the moss part and skip the rest.

Tiger95

They wouldn't skip the rest I believe especially since there's a quick preview of a certain something in the opening

Tiger95

Or highly doubtful but maybe a pt 2 could happen? Really depends on how much they use of the LN

John Ng

I need to rewatch the opening. I only noticed a certain character but not the something.

John Ng

Ohhhh~~~ you're right. But I think we're in spoiler territory now. You may want to delete your message on the timestamp to avoid spoiling others

Tiger95

Yea was just gonna keep it there for a few mins in case you wanted to know it and then planned on deleting

John Ng

Thanks. I don't even know that it was there so clearly.

Tiger95

Right! I noticed right away only because I was actually looking for any references to it haha. Now depending on how they do the pacing I wonder what episode it'll be? Still keeping the very slightest bit of hope it could possibly be a 2 pt season.

John Ng

I believed it's either episode 7 or 8 when it happens. They have to defeat the moss 1st before the incident happens. Too bad they didn't animate Oratoria. Else there's going to be so much references between the two series. Not sure how they're going to explain the characters and event they caused since Oratoria wasn't there to explain it.

Tiger95

Yea it does seem like that would end up confusing a lot of people hell I might even go back just to kinda refresh my memory. I wonder if it could lead to them making a season 2 of Oratoria and so on?

John Ng

It's a shame Oratoria isn't getting the fan it deserves. The side series actually gets better as the story goes further. Imo it's almost comparable to the main series at this point of the LN

John Ng

I'm very curious how they're going with that extra steamy scene 😏

Tiger95

Absolutely agree with you on that. I know there wasn't really many problems with the first season other than only hearing complaints about Lefiya which I can understand but she ended up growing on me as I read the LN

Tiger95

It'll be interesting to see how they do that. I can't see them really skipping over it but also you just never know and they somehow manage to do so

John Ng

While I can see Lefiya's motivation, and what happens to her in the later LN, I still don't like her much. At least I don't dislike her at the end.

John Ng

As far as I'm concerned, that scene is the staple of this arc. BEST GIRL INCOMING!!! 🤣

Tiger95

Oh yea Lefiya still is one of my most disliked characters but for some to say she ruined season 1 of the anime is a bit much.

Tiger95

Oh ABSOLUTELY a staple scene and will for sure be pissed if somehow taken out and Best Girl indeed! Always loved her character but this arc made me love her even more haha

John Ng

I wonder whether our discussion will spurs someone to start reading the LN to know what's that best girl and extra steamy scene is about 😂

Tiger95

They better and not even just for that but to be able to enjoy the series that much more.

John Ng

The starting point where I got so into this series that I started reading the LN was on the goated season 1 episode 8. After that episode I was thinking "Wow! I wonder how the author describes this fight scene on LN? It's unimaginable that they were able to animate the description word for word. And I started reading it from Book 1. And I was hooked into the vast amount of world building and wanted to know more about Aiz (still the best girl for me. Her status is on shaky grounds when the best girl of this arc appears) that I started reading Oratoria. Although it's a translation, but I applaud the writer who translated this whole series. To be able to translate the original and makes it interesting as well as heart pumping while describing the fight scene is not an easy feat.

John Ng

Not sure what to feel about book 17. From what has happened in book 16, this arc feels like Bell is not going to advance his status for the time being. And from the synopsis "that girl" outright demands for Bell to be hers...

Tiger95

I can't say there was an exact point for me I got hooked on the series but obviously it was season 1. I wish I had picked up the LN right after that but back then I was nowhere near the avid reader I currently am. It was however the very first LN I ever read and it continues to be one of my favorites of all time. The extensive world building that's in both LNs is actually what I love the most even though it's really supposed to be the adventuring part but also the added character development which is unfortunately sometimes left out of the anime is amazing to me. Aiz I think will always be best girl for me just because I enjoy her character so much but it does get pretty close between her and another especially thanks to this arc. I will be heartbroken the day the last LN is published but will have no problems starting all over again and enjoying it from the start because the LN is without a doubt a must read for anyone who enjoys the anime. That includes Sword Oratoria as well!

Tiger95

Yea while I'll always be excited for a new volume this upcoming one has me wondering a few things such as how far a certain someone will actually go and how many people will be willing to get involved outside the family (especially the 2 best girls)

Tiger95

Also I'm ok with bell not advancing again just yet that just means more volumes to come haha

John Ng

Judging from how the author has been building the final dragon who's dormant and nowhere to be seen throughout the entire LN (this includes Oratoria and not a spoiler in case anyone wants to cries spoiler. It's mentioned many times throughout the series), I believed he's building Bell and everyone who appears throughout the whole series to band together and fight the last Big Bad which is the Black Dragon. It wouldn't surprise me that by that point, Bell exceeded Level 7 and is the first Level 8. And from someone else who saw/read author's interview, he mentioned that his best girl is Aiz. So I believed that Bell's end girl will be Aiz. I don't think I'll see a harem ending for this series. So far he hasn't written an exact harem. I know there's a lot of girls liking Bell, but everyone of them knows Bell loves Aiz. They surrounds Bell but none really wanted him for themselves. Except for 3 of them who's outright with it. But even they are not on sharing a harem mentality.

John Ng

As for Book 17, I believed it's going to build up to another big arc. Judging from how the author always uses 4 books to build an arc, this arc so far is only 2 out of 4. And he always has something foreshadowing in the background. And his foreshadowing isn't those obvious foreshadowing that Adorkable has been saying in this reaction. It's always in the background, but once it happens and you read back, you'll noticed that it was so subtly there for you. And it could even be foreshadowed a few books back before current arc. I'm sure you know how long ago he foreshadowed in Oratoria before the final revealed in the latest 2 books of Oratoria. So I believed something even bigger is going to happen in the next 2 books namely book 18 and 19.

Tiger95

I agree the dragon or One-eyed black dragon specifically will be the big bad at the end. Also this is only me going on what I've heard and read so it could be wrong but Bell wouldn't be the first Lv 8 which doesn't surprise me honestly since it has been said Zeus and Hera had the strongest family's ever. I see no harem happening either, it's a bit annoying when people say he has a harem when in my mind a harem is when the MC actually loves all the girls. Bell is only in love with Aiz but cares about the others which to me means no harem now or in the future. * Just read something that the author himself stated but won't say what exactly just to be safe and not spoil for others.

Tiger95

Yea Vol 17 is for sure building up to something but until I read it I have no definitive guess what it could be. I don't want to believe it's nowhere near even the halfway point in terms of how long the LN will continue but seems like it could be leading to one of the more major things to so far happen.

John Ng

It is true that Zeus and Hera had the strongest family, but remembered how they called Ottar the first Level 7 of Orario? Thus it's obvious that Zeus and Hera has more high level family members during their time, but none at level 7. And since Bell has the level up cheat, he is going to outgrow Ottar. Maybe the one who is going to help push him to level 8 is Asterius, the Xenos he lost to. He is going to have another showdown with Asterius, but at a much later arc. Because one thing Oomori Fujino (author) is very good at is delaying the anticipated fight. It's the same for the 1st arc with Bell overcoming his fear of Minotaur and fighting his 1st enhance Minotaur, or this arc's big bad last fight. He uses much to build up to that fight. Since everyone who saw that last fight has been wanting Bell to have a rematch and wins the rematch, Oomori is not going to give us this rematch anytime soon. But I'm just speculating as he has always been able to surprise us again and again. So the next rematch may not even happen at all.

Tiger95

All I will say is first Level 7 of Orario but what about outside it? That's just complete speculation on my part but beside that I actually believe there was someone (a couple actually) higher than level 7 based on very little things I recall from both LNs and the Familia Chronicle LNs as well specifically the Freya ones.

John Ng

If you said it's someone from outside of Orario, then I can agree. But that's not going to be from Zeus or Hera familia. They're in Orario and only went on the expedition to rid the Black Dragon when they're wiped off. So I don't believe they're the ones with level 8, if there's 1. But in the LN, not sure is it main or side story, it was mentioned that monsters outside of Orario are watered-down beasts. They are weaker than the monsters in the dungeon. I think it's during the story with Hestia being kidnapped that it's mentioned.

Tiger95

I don't believe outside Orario either it was more of a what if than an actual guess. From digging for more information about it there is a definitive answer again from the author himself but for the sake of keeping you and anyone else wondering I will not say haha. I do believe you're correct in it being the episodes with Hestia kidnapped or possibly had been mentioned in Sword Oratoria but not too sure on that part.

John Ng

Lol anyone following our discussion tread must be feeling dizzy by how much we've been discussing 😅

John Ng

But that just proves how much of a fan we both are 😃

Tiger95

I feel dizzy myself haha, actually had to go back a couple times to something you or I wrote completely forgetting what the hell we've said

Thamor

"We know...We know" "...we didn't know they were in dungeon as it looked life they fighting in forest." That was funny, you should just admit you got confused and move on.

L.C.

had a 12 hour shift yesterday so I fell asleep b4 I could watch the reaction. no better time than now to do so tho. I am off for the day (hopefully)

L.C.

Im not sleeping on summertime but I don't care about watching it. At least not right now.

L.C.

Yea the entire ending is just the camera from bell's point of view. He is watching hestia from behind and then hestia turns around and gives him a kiss

Foxfire

Summertime Rendering is just being punished for being in Disney+ jail, the same as animes that get stuck in Netflix jail. I am too damn old to be searching through skeevy websites for anime. If it's not simulcast streamed it's a pass for me.

2022-12-30 03:34:51 They finally fucking fixed the Firebolt visuals in the anime, like it was meant to be since S1, i.e it's meant to look like electric fire, since it combos from both Hestia & Zeus thematically speaking, because of Bell's own Soul, which is what defines what Magic types etc a person can gain from leveling up and all that (just like how your experiences during adventures determine what Developmental Abilities you unlock as you gain levels, pretty much no Adventurer has the exact same build even if they use similar weapons + attribute focus (so like Bete Loga & Allen Fromel who are contesting for #1 AGI-based Adventurer rn, w/ Bell quite close behind them by this point despite being 2 lvls below them, due to how many times he has SSS + SS'd within each level up, whereas most Adventurers rarely get 1 stat to S before ranking up, most would be at B to A or lower when ranking up (D is minimum you need to qualify for a rank-up as long as you can manage a "surpass your limits" type of shit that is required per rank-up, where you overload the Vessel containing your Soul, so it expands as a consequence, which is what is numerically displayed by Level Up), so by the time Bell would reach their level (Level 6), he'd likely have surpassed them in this competition anyway, assuming for the next 2 rank ups he keeps the SSS for AGI, SS for every other stats that he has had going for the 3 rank-ups so far)

They are likely to morph into Xenos soon-ish after they die enough times, since they are partially already there (it was a miracle that Asterios became a Xeno so soon after such an impactful event (Bell's 1v1 duel against him), definitely not the norm for most Xenos)

L.C.

pirating anime is better than any other shit. I am 22 and doing it. No one cares about how old you are.

John Ng

@Skebaba, I don't think it's a miracle for him though. He was the chosen one to be trained to upgrade into King Minotaur among his peers by Ottar. And the fight against Bell was strong to also trigger his subconscious to reborn with a purpose. In the past, the monsters were killed and reborn, killed and reborn until they reborn enough times to regain consciousness. Usually they fight in herd, so nothing too mind-blowing for them. But for Asterios, that 2 events for him triggers his desire to win to seek Bell out and have a rematch. That's why he awoke with the desire to train. In a sense he is Bell. Bell is chasing Aiz and he is chasing Bell. And his desire won him his rematch.
