pre-intro is spittin' - Date A Live made it hella far already to get 4 seasons, and fans been waiting years between them too, sticking with it and continuing support (especially shout out to fans in china, date a live fans there are built different) just so you can compare the feats, Haikyuu manga ran in Shonen Jump, same place stuff like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, etc etc come from, it's actually far far far easier for those kinds of manga to get 4 seasons because their shonen target demographic is HUGEEEEEEE. Overlord and Danmachi are much closer comparisons, all three shows just barely got their 4th season this year, long hard fought in this cut throat business industry - if your shit doesn't MAKE MONEY - you get canned!!! shows that make it to season 4 are in elite company - no disrepsect to "trapped in a dating sim" but that show's new - which means it's too green

Just a heads up since yall keep mentioning it in the reactions they never use his real name up until recently in the source material which we are several seasons away from that in the anime, and nagatoro and her friends always say senpai, or paisen which is just an inverted version of senpai since he is older its an honorific and shows the diff in the relationship between him nagatoro and the other girls in the group.

Yeah you ain't kidding about Date A Live, with its 5th season announced it looks like it may hit that elite "complete adaptation" territory. I think it would need a 6th season to hit that mark. Only light novel adaptation anime in the last decade that I can think of that did that was Oregairu, Saikano and Index.
