I'm so sad they cut out ALL of the backstory of Go Gin, and the guy who organized the fight. Well by now I am used to anime skiping backstorys, but that is just sad, cuz they could do it in like 20seconds and it is so fucking good...aaaaaah, and the pre-entering arena fight got shortened to a single sentence, and the one that have almost no meaning wihout backstorys :C Aaaanyway. I could be wrong, but I think the book Ains gave the old guy was the "Book of the Dead" from our world. It's an ancient Egyptian text about funeral rites and "spells" Egyptian priests would cast to help the soul through the underworld. In other words, Ains gave him a fake book to get old guy off his back.

It's a matter overthinking things and that is what El Nix makes the mistake here, although in the end it's not a mistake that he made in the end. He should never had any scheming to do against a being that is in the end like a god to the humans of this world. Although a stupid bone daddy god :D

ainz lied about the spell because he wanted to come off as least insanely OP as possible. Saying it is one of his trump cards and can only be done once every 10 years is bullshit. That spell where he killed thousands last season wasn't even a trump card of his but it is unfathomable to the average person to think anything like that would just be a common spell he can use. He downplayed his own power to make it more understandable for the guy he was talking with and try to get in to fight the warrior king

The weapons Ainz was using on the Troll were from Clementine. If you remember they had the power of fire and lightning. That's why he said they came from Momon. You also miss that Ainz also just wanted to leave so he wouldn't have to talk to El Nix. That's why he was in a hurry to jet out. Ainz didn't use any spells he was using his undead abilities. Being that he is an Overlord of death he has a few powers that undead have. Like energy drain and skills that undead would have he could use. Remember this Ainz is still a human man in a undead body. So the way he sometime acts are from that point as well.

The troll, Gu if I'm not mistaken, laughed at Ainz's name because it was long, therefore the name of a weakling, and his name was Gu, a short name, fit for a mighty warrior (a troll's mindset). That's why Ainz asked if the Warrior King (a troll) would not laugh at his name.

They skip around and these arcs arent in chronological order in line with the light novels thats why sometimes the order of events feels off. I think its cause when they did season one they didnt know back then if they would get renewed so they did some best of and now they are going back and trying to piece together these arcs best they can.

Legit his only real limitation is that his true upper tier spells use experience points in this world and since he is maxed out he doesn't know if he can reacquire them if he expends them.

2023-06-07 18:21:47 That One Punch Man Vs Goku line had me rolling. I don't know if you guys read one punch man but chapters 167 & 168 should make it clear who is stronger. Up to this point, Goku cannot grow as fast as Saitama but hey, the writers could make anyone the strongest in the future.

The negative energy he hits the warrior king with when he touches him is an ability that comes with him being undead. He can't turn it off. It even affects his subordinates when they are around him. And the fire etc is the weapons, not any spells so they allow it. The troll has special armour and weapon too.
