Honestly the fact that you and Director don't like her might be great. What made Re:Animated's reaction to the series so great was the fact that Terrance wanted to throw hands with her literally every scene. I still rewatch their videos on it for the unfiltered rage and out of pocket commentary.

The examples you gave have more to it. There is a reason for revenge, or s reason to hate goblins etc. the main character is being mean without cause. She just has fun doing it. A lot if people like her. My reaction won’t be what you’d like if your a fan of her

btw i am not saying that you shouldn't think the way you think, it is just that for me it feels off you wanting to drop a series because a girl made a boy cry but you didn't when a a guy was being keep a slave because the only thing he could do was heal, another being accused of rape for everyone to see and other girls being raped by goblins, yes there is more to it but don't you think it is the same case for this show? i'm not saying you should like it, i just want to point the disparity in your views, also most people here will have a bias because they know how they end up. even if you drop this show, i will still be subbed if there is a show i want to see you react, since i like that you actually think about what happens in the EP.

OwnerOfGlory dude nagatoro is trash. obviously he is not going to like it because he isnt into that fetish that nagatoro is appealing too. all the others you mentioned had atleast some kind of story you could get behind. even the guy from redo of healer was more justified because he did revenge rape when he was raped himself for 6 months straight. nagatoro is just a bitch

i hate this show with a passion. im glad the yaboyrocklee team had a similar reaction. i would rather you guys just drop it. but if you are going to continue im going to stay far away from this one.

Nagatoro has a niche fan base, who wanted to see this guy get berated on the daily. I’m not in that camp but I can understand why people flock to that premise and the character dynamic behind it. I hate how the story lacks depth/world building and I’d loathe a season 2. But for what it is, I think it’s okay. Short, wholesome, with a dash of character development. Plus the art style is nice.

I completely and totally disagree with all the negative comments. I have no desire to see Naoto berated, I am not a sadist or a masochist, and I enjoyed this show and its surprising wholesomeness. Please remember that these are young people figuring out how to interact with the opposite sex, and they are bound to make mistakes. They are not fully grown adults with years of experience in understanding others. Trying looking at what's underneath the surface to see what is REALLY going on. I am very much looking forward to season 2.

Lee, your open mind is one of the best aspects of your reaction. Don't get too focused on the negativity and do what you always do and focus on the positive! If, somehow, you don't see any value by the end of episode 5, then might be the chance to drop it. Think back to how Lord Damien felt about Anya when he was bossing her around!

I dunno. Really no need to debate. I left it alone. It sounds like I voice that i was unsure of this anime based on Anime. I’m being told based on previous anime I SHOULD like this. This is not likes and feelings work. I don’t even a rational reason to like or not like a show. Some shows hit differently than others. For a multitude of nuance. I might like a show more than usual cuz i liked Directornastys energy, that could make or break my experience watching a show. The shows listed here have much worst elements than Ms Nagatoro BUT also had elements in the show that captured my interest enough to want to see more. I’ll repeat the quote. The other shows had enough moments of interest to capture my interest. Based on episode 1. It appears this girl is mean, and will continue being mean, and this boy will have to learn to adjust to it or find out he likes being bullied by cute girls or something. It’s odd to read my likes or dislikes challenged this way.

i need to clarify myself, i never wanted to either challenge or change your view on the show, or that because you liked the other 3 shows you should like this one. i know overlord, redo and shield do give you a reason to continue watching but what i don't like is that you thought of dropping the show or might drop it just because she is mean, i wouldn't be here if you simply didn't like the character or you couldn't see a story you would like. also you don't need to justify your likes/dislikes/opinions its just for me it feels off and it is simply a ME problem
