Thank you again for reading my comment, I am happy it helped. Goblin Slayer's character development is one of my favorite things in this show. About SpearGuy, who is a reference to Fate Stay Night's "Lancer", I always took it that he would have helped anyway, but he knew others wouldn't. For an adventurer time is money, if they are helping slaying stupid goblins for free, they miss out on quests that could get them a lot of money. If SpearGuy wouldn't have brought up the price thing, most likely a lot of the adventurers wouldn't have come, meaning they could've lost the battle. Yeah, he could have done it in less dickish way, but I think that's just a part of his personality.

I really hope Goblin Slayer Year One gets an anime someday cause seeing that character say he’d help out is a huge deal. Man I’m getting tears in my eyes

I think most anime watcher that is in middle school and in highschool can easily watch 24 ep a day like me back in that age but now with university I can only watch maximum of 6 episode (no 1.2x speed and somtimes skipping the intro song)

From what I gather he was also trying to set a value for the work because if people just did it for free there might be the expectations of it on Goblin Slayer and he wouldn't be able to make a living

So Cow Girl (that's what the LN calls her) might've saved Goblins Slayers life if I understand correctly he basically said he couldn't defeat them in open ground and to dip he never said he wouldn't still try I don't think he had any intention of asking for help on his own behalf but her staying made him willing to lower his pride and accept hell he practically begged for help

I binge watched one piece over the 2 months of summer break back in highschool in 2017. I was still on my anime binge spree where I just watched one anime after the other cause even tho I grew up with anime I didn't know exactly what it was until my teens and I loved multiple anime as a kid so I wanted to watch more and more. I watched at least 10-12 episodes a day if not more but I had other things to do besides stay in my room all day and do nothing. I grew up on a farm with multiple acres of land and that summer I helped my family with doing a bunch of construction and clean up to a house we had somewhere else. I don't keep up with one piece anymore. I got burnt out with the super annoying and time wasting that one piece does. So much fluff compared to the actual material. I went back a couple of times after that but gave up cause so much more anime and youtube is worth my time when i lay down to watch.

I'm with the adventurers, you gotta offer something for me to risk my life like that. The spear guy was the MVP, he knew what they were thinking so he gave the idea of making it an official quest.
