i like how the ending left a possible opening for season 3. and i agree i liked season 1 more then 2 because it seemed like he got softened to the point of the typical hero protag in other animes. but it was still enjoyable

Glad yā€™all had fun with arifureta btw I would recommend chivalry of a failed knight itā€™s a 12 episode series that has good animation and plot it does have a little bit of nudity but itā€™s not that graphic its an magical knight school tournament type of anime like misfit if you wanna watch it or you should watch arifuretaā€™s other 3 ovas which are canon

Season 2 was definitely way better than Season 1. I was able to enjoy it more thanks to the extra context from the light novels too. Never have I ever had to temporarily drop an anime just to read the light novels, then go back to the anime once I've caught up. There's a first for everything I guess. The only other series that had me on the brink to read the light novels was Re:Zero, but that anime was so good to just skip ahead in the story. Same with Mushoku Tensei.

I feel you man Iā€™m the same after reading the light novels it just made me love season 2 a lot more there is some stuff imo they coulda done better but Iā€™m still satisfied plus ngl in season 1 even though they cut a lot of gore and backstory and a couple fights and while I am disappointed with them rushing the adaptation Iā€™m also glad weā€™re closer to the tree labyrinth arc when we get a season 3 also the annoying interaction that werenā€™t in season 1 where every creep kept hitting on the girls even hiyama and kouki Im kinda glad they kept those scenes out but while I get it shows hajime being a badass it wasnā€™t enough cuz it started to be cliche and the fact he wasnā€™t killing them even though he killed knights enslaving rabbit men but tho he was laying low but still it was annoying in the story so Iā€™m glad season 1 skipped it although I get it helps solidify why hajime doesnā€™t wanna help this world I think the story still flows without the cliche stuff plus season 2 was adapted so well to me it makes up for season 1 to me and Iā€™m just hyped waiting for the newest LN to release and the ova this summer so hopefully we can get a season 3 announced after šŸ™šŸ™

The bad news is, this is the end of Season 2 The good news is, Season 3 is greenlit and its an upcoming anime season, we're not really sure when it'll come, if I had to guess, prob 2023-2024, we do have artwork for S3 already so, here's hoping.
